Over $6 million a year I think. Stanford has also its offer
I know his brother is pissed. Being that he's only making 2.5 million a year. Oh well, atleast we'll know which brother will be hosting Thanksgiving dinner for the next few years lol. |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Tug of war between the 49ers and Stanford, this is crazy and interesting.

Checking in every 30 mins has only left me more confused

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Didn't we do the same thing?
Yes we did. The difference is that we ended up changing coaches. The Fins have not. Instead, they have neutered Sparano of any power in the organization and he now is a football eunuch. |

We didn't really do the same thing. We didn't offer multi-million dollar deals to multiple people while still employing our head coach |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Unbelievable how the Dolphins have left Sparano twisting in the wind.
Now there's this Report: Sparano hasn’t been informed of his fate | ProFootballTalk |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
I heard Sparano was coming back to MIA, on Mike and Mike
|

You are correct sir. |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Gotta love this from Schefty on the whole Harbaugh thing:
"@Adam_Schefter RT @EricStangel By the time this is over Jim Harbaugh will be 49ers coach, GM, VP, QB a multi-millionaire & dating a Kardashian." |

Wasn't it you that told us the story about how Snyder asked Pat Bowlen about Shanahan right in front of Zorn at an owners meeting? |

Nope. Don't think so |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
5yr, 25Million for Harbaugh to the 49'ers. Ridiculous on the 49'ers part.
|
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Didn't we do the same thing?
I feel like there's a big difference between actively going out and looking for a new coach, and one owner joking around with another owner about that owners' current head coach, like Snyder did with Bowlen at the owners meetings. |

Jim Harbaugh will go down as the greatest head coach in the history of sports...or so I've been told here, I think |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
If Harbaugh really is going to the 9ers, does this impact Lucks' decision to stay in college for another year?
|

He'll be a great one alright, too bad it is with the ****ing 49ers. They'll be in the playoffs next year. |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Call me crazy but I'm saying it now... Harbaugh will be fired in 3 years
|
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Should call him Hypebaugh...
meanwhile the Dolphins have some serious egg on their face |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
I'll remember to say "I told you so".
|
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Yeah don't worry, plenty of that around here

Good question. Maybe Luck will change his mind. |

Niners started 0-5, finished 6-10 and still finished one win away from a division title. Will the West be as bad next year? Probably not. But playoffs doesn't seem to be all that out of reach regardless of who's coaching them. Anyhow, like I said I wish him well. Always liked him as a player and I think he hast the potential to be a solid coach, but we've down this road in the past with less than stellar results. I will say the smartest thing he did was stay put in the Bay area. Because I remember one of the biggest issues with Spurrier was his family's adjustment to a new locale |

Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Trust me, I'll be rooting for him to fail cause I hate the 49ers as much as the Cowboys. I've put up with a lot of shit during the 80's, I'm not sure if you can imagine what it's like living in a city were your team is not from. I want the skins to be great under Shanahan, I hope he can pull it off.

Oh man I know your Pain I had to put with Dallas shit in the 90's so I hope they fail to. After Dallas one last week I got all kinds of calls from Idiots gloating that they had a better record than us and you could here in the background a Redskins suck chant. |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Who knows. His brother went from special teams coach to successful head coach. Not your standard course.
Also, while I have no ill-will to Harbaugh, I too have a secret, strong dislike for the 49'ers. |
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
Hopefully Bellaire Ohio's Nate Davis gets a chance.
|
Re: NFL Coaching Rumors and Moves
^ no chance bigred..
I just don't agree with all the Lebron James type hype for Jim, he's a good coach but cmon he's not Vince Lombardi. I'm stickin with my guns and say this experiment will be a failure. |
wow, i cant beleive all of cowhers alleged top choices are already filled and his name isnt rumored attached to any team. I wonder if anyone even WANTS cowher. At this point, he's been out of the biz for a while and no ones going to want to pay him 8-10MM per year with the labor situation up in the air.
Cowher is probably happy in the booth anyway. Tomlin is showing fans that it might have been more of the FO and the players assembled than it was Cowher. |

What is even more funny is that the Univ of Michigan offered him a bit more at 5.2 million a year and he flat out rejected him. U of M better hope Brady Hoke can work his magic at the Big House or they are screwed. |

Well, the Steelers also gave Cowher a helluva long leash and he didn't win until Roethelisberger carried them to the Super Bowl... and then the refs and running game bailed Big Ben out. |

Yeah, extended through 2013 and with more personnel power, though Ireland will hold final say as before. |

Gregg Williams has declined an interview with the Broncos.
