Ill get slammed for this but id rather see Colt start than see us get MV. Colt if anything is a better passer. May not be as strong but is very accurate and in the WCO you dont really need a cannon.
If it was between Colt or Vick, I'd take Colt too. |

lets hope it never comes to it, but colt>vick

I totally agree, but if it was between Collins and MV I'd take MV. |
Re: The Vick Factor
I'd take Collins over Vick easily.
|
Re: The Vick Factor
I'd take Mark Brunell today, over Mike Vick 3 years ago. Seriously guys, pretend like you have a little class atleast.
|
Re: The Vick Factor
WOW...I'm amazed that as many as 32% of people actually want Vick on the Redskins
|
Re: The Vick Factor
It's the Tech factor multiplied by what i like to call the Dan Snyder effect.

Re: The Vick Factor
I said yes, but not as a QB. I like him as a slash type player. Get him about 3 to 7 touches a game at various positions and let the points soar.

You'll get no argument from me. I agree. |

I'd rather see any of the QBs on our roster under C before Vick....and that includes Chase Daniel. Hell, I'd suit up Zorn before Vick.

Im on bored with this as well. I do NOT want him under center. But as stagnant as the offense was at the end of the year was pathetic, and its not just O-line. Cooly and Portis are great, reliable players who can put up numbers, but when it comes to playmakers we only have one and he is doubled most of the time (Moss). We need someone to give this O life, JC is too robotic and overthinks everything at this point, but we can win with him. Vick in the wildcat, on screen pass, getting the ball in space, hell even returning punts...he would be a spark. ARE was suppose to be that guy...he make 1 or 2 plays a year....we need something. Give Vick a 1 year deal, 5-10 touches a game and lets see what happens. |

Re: The Vick Factor
My beef with Vick is he was a mediocre passer before leaving the game for 2 years. Now he has to shake off some major rust and try to pick up where he left off in his development. His accuracy isn't hot to begin with, and he's a poor fit for a WCO. He's a great athlete and could fit in right away with a team that runs the wildcat, problem is Zorn has no use for the wildcat and I don't see him changing his tune on that.
So yes at this point if I had to choose I would rather take my chances with an unproven young QB in Colt or a veteran in Collins vs. a guy with 2 years of rust on him and someone who was not a good passer to begin with. |
Re: The Vick Factor
I am certainly not a member of the Cult of Colt, I just dont like Vick. I should rephrase my original comment -- colt/collins>vick

I am still one that absolutely thinks Colt could be a good NFL qb. Just needs a chance. |

Unfortunately this team's ownership and a big portion of the fan base are not known for patience. |
Re: The Vick Factor
I think Colt could do well in the WCO. He is accurate and can read defenses very well IMO

Re: The Vick Factor
Anyone that wants to bring Vick in here to QB is either trying to start an argument or just plane stupid.

Only because no one has started another Campbell sucks thread. |
Re: The Vick Factor
Been watching Vick since he was a Hokie freshman and pretty much put them on the map.....a very talented athelete that could play anywhere. Who wouldn't want him??? I think every team in the league secretly wants him. Anyhow, only a few teams will take a chance on him.......i wish him the best of luck at what he does and hope he has truely became a better person.
Has anyone heard of what Marcus Vick is doing now??? |

Nah, people are being resourceful and are mentioning this in other threads instead of starting a new one. I'm sure one will come along soon. |

I would rather have the QBs that we already have start for us, definitely. Why spend umpteen million dollars on a guy who is obviously a character issue, not a good leader, & has been proven to be a bad decision maker, mostly off the field, which has inevitably hurt him on the field. I agree that I would rather see Colt start before we go out & get yet another high dollar bust. Colt IS a Redskin currently. He SHOULD get a chance before we do something like that, absolutely. |

Last thing I heard about Marcus he was waving a gun in a McDonalds parking lot. Maybe Ronald pissed him off or something.

Re: The Vick Factor
1. MV is not on the market. Atl. has not given him his release.
2. He was not a very accurate passer his last couple of years. 3. He has a two year lay-off. 4. He hasn't been re-instated by Commish. Gordon 5. Protestors would come to whichever stadium he plays in. 6. He might still face local charges, one never knows about these legal matters. It ain't over, til it's over! 7. Hasn't JC been through enough issues this recent off-season? 8. BF is still trying to steal the spotlight with his retirement/not retirement issues. |

Report: Rams Interested In Vick
Posted by Aaron Wilson on May 31, 2009, 12:54 p.m. The St. Louis Rams have emerged as a potential landing spot for suspended quarterback Michael Vick if he’s reinstated, and team officials have been performing their “due diligence,” according to Michael Lombardi of NFP and NFL Network. Per the report, the Rams have “genuine interest” in Vick, who’s on house arrest in Virginia after serving 18 months in federal prison. “Several people in the NFL told me not to rule out St. Louis as a possible destination for Vick,” Lombardi writes. “If [NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell] reinstates him, look for them to actively pursue him. It makes sense, a new coach with an older quarterback who hasn’t played well. Playing in a dome on carpet would highlight Vick’s speed and athleticism.” Of course, the Rams being up for sale complicates Vick’s prospects because new ownership could be opposed to pursuing Vick. Plus, Vick must show “genuine remorse,” in Goodell’s words, to gain reinstatement to the league. Lombardi portrays Vick as having his head on straight and ready for a second chance. “According to people I’ve talked to who are close to him, Vick is in great spirits and looking forward to the future,” Lombardi writes. “I’m told he’s in great ‘non-professional football shape’ and is determined to prove he can regain his superstar status in the NFL. “He intends to spend more time studying the game, more time preparing to play, more time working on his game. Two years alone with nothing but your thoughts can be a powerful motivational tool.” |
Re: The Vick Factor
I keep hearing the Rams are interested in Vick and this article is just another source. I actually think the Rams would be a perfect fit for Mike Vick.

Until they find out that while he was in prison, he was slaughtering goats for satanic ritual sacrifice. :D |
Re: The Vick Factor

The Rams are in a bit of a flux right now. I thought I read somewhere that they may be up for sale (I'll see if I dig up the link). So who knows what will happen. |
