McNabb mentioned that some of his former teammates were there for the press conference. i'm just listening to it now - any idea which guys showed up? very classy on their part and it shows the kind of loyalty players have for McNabb. Hopefully he's here long enough to develop a similar bond with our players, and that it translates into success on the field.
No, we are trading McNAbb for your cousin Sage!!! BigHeadAristodemocrat
He mentioned former teammates? I thought that he just said some of my teammates are here showing their support.. aka his teammates now
i must have misunderstood, thanks for the clarification.

Shanahan, when asked on his thoughts about Bradford, McCoy, etc since the trade: Phillip Rivers didn't start till his 3rd year, Aaron Rodgers as well... you don't usually bring in a rookie to start.. the "perfect situation" would be to bring in a young QB to back up

he didn't say a high pick.. but yeah

I think we're two or three years away from considering a serious QB prospect.

What would you guys think if Shanahan drafted Jimmy Clausen with our first round pick?

That would be a WTF moment for me... And I wouldn't be able to get over it unless Jimmy Clausen turned out to be the franchise quarterback we needed all along.

But Fat Andy calling a thousand passes a game surely could not have inhibited him, or so says a certain someone(not you).

We are trading for Sage Rosenfels I believe.

They should bring back Mark Brunell so that he can finish his career as a redskin. They are talking right now about Jacksonville signing him to a 1 day contract, but seriously Brunell has a house here in Great Falls and he could be a good backup for 1 season.

If we trade down a bit that might work.. but who knows if Seattle or somebody would pick him up.

As Smoot has reported there are some trade rumors about us bringing linemen in. As long as we get them in, I'll be fine. If we think that we can have a solid O-Line and have a better chance at QB this year with our draft position I can understand that, can't have a 1 year strategy.

We don't need two mediocre-at-best old guns to backup McNabb. Can Brunell even run anymore?
