Re: Redskins Trade for Alex Smith
I think Rodgers is waiting on Brees and Cousins, and rightly so -- with 2 years left on his deal and both sides agreeing on his importance, it is reasonable to see the market.
I like Rodgers and think is the best and takes his team to a higher level. But I still believe no one player should cripple a team with their contact.

Which if 6 or 7 years would be around 30 million. The other thing that we have to remember is the money they get comes from us. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

The money is from us fans only in a tertiary way at best and if the players didnt get their slotted share it would go back in the owners pockets, not ours. Rodgers, for what he brings to his team is certainly worth 14% of a team's cap, in today's market. Cousins is not, though some team may risk it with him, I am glad it won't be the Skins. |

The more money the NFL gets in tv contracts or in ticket prices comes from the fans. Advertisers pay tv networks and raise prices of products. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

Don't think for a minute that they aren't squeezing every dime out of the television contracts regardless of what they pay any individual player, or even the players as a whole group. |

Why the hell do we have to remember that? When was the last time an NFL team wanted to sign a player but couldn't because the check would bounce? |
