I can understand where looking down wouldn't be ideal.
Oh that is cool.

I tell you the best thing ever for backing up are the interior side mirrors in my 4Runner.

They really come in handy! Why most cars don't have them I have no idea. So simple and effective.

a car that def needs that is the chevy hhr. i was issued one as a rental while mine was being repaired. it was terrible. had to lean so far forward to get a good angle on the either side view mirror, the rear window is so small, had to turn my head a nearly a complete 180 every time i wanted to safely change lanes. not my cup of tea

I usually back into parking spots so I don't have to back out

This is the only rational way to park, anyone parking otherwise should immediately lose their license.

Then there would be far more parking spots. Job done!
I usually back into parking spots so I don't have to back out
that reminds me of something that grinds my gears, people who pull headfirst into a spot, the spot in front of them is vacant but they don't pull forward to take it, eliminating any need for reverse at all. do you ever see people do that? i'm all about the pull through bonus. i only back into spots anymore when i really have to due to poor a poor angle

Problem when you do that is if someone is trying to pull in to your bonus spot at the same time. I have seen it a few times.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

This annoys me to no end:

As you open your pockets for the next natural disaster, please keep these facts in mind:

The American Red Cross President and CEO Marsha J. Evans salary for the year was $651,957 plus expenses

The United Way President Brian Gallagher receives a $375,000 base salary along with numerous expense benefits.

UNICEF CEO Caryl M. Stern receives $1,200,000 per year (100k per month) plus all expenses including a ROLLS ROYCE. Less than 5 cents of your donated dollar goes to the cause.

But thankfully we can rely on the good people at Salvation Army, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of Purple Hearts and Vietnam Veterans Association who take either a tiny amount (Salvation Army) or zero.

So for the next time you decide to donate, please consider the latter rather than the former.

I thought that the only reason people backed into a spot was to look cool and show off there rod.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

I bought 2 tickets to a concert the face value of the actual ticket to the show is $56.00 apiece so $112.00 for the pair. Ok, im good with that, the advertised price. Ok so there is now a $8.00 charge called a "facility charge", ok gears are starting to turn...facility charge? Thats not parking, ill pay that the day of the show. Now there is a "convenience charge" of $20.20...gears fully grinding...whats the convenience? U f*cking found a another way to charge me something? WTF!!! And at the end there is a $3.55 "order processing charge". Are f*cking with me? So the $56.00 ticket is actually a $71.87 excluding tax. And the industry complains that tour attendance is down...really?

The fees on tix are BS, no doubt.

The music industry is just full of fail at the top.
