Do you get paid for teleworking or do you just get your salary and have to meet deadlines regardless of the amount of time it takes you?

I get a salary plus overtime. I work more than the overtime I get paid for. But there are always so many meetings during the day that there's never any time to get work done. Plus I'm more of a night person anyway, I can think better at 1am than 1pm.

Can't wait to be done with this project though. It's been hellacious

I am a night person myself, but right now it is not by choice. I ahave a couple of C++ programs that I am writing for school and they were whoopin my ass for about 2 weeks, but I think that I have gotten the hang of it. I cannot wait until I finish my degree and get a daytime job.

Shit, me neither. I am going through the motions. The course is designed to teach you pseudocode, but the software that we apply it to is C++ meanwhile the rest of the world is pretty much hooked on JAVA.

I do not think that they would like me scheduling ESPN anyway. I wouldnt be able to make anyone happy excecpt Football fans.

I use cingular, how long will it be before I start receiving a bill from AT&T. Also will my contract stay in tact or will I be able to opt out.

you will still have the same rules and stuff for your contracts. your phone (depending on when you got it should say At and t now. the bill will be a while because it is not full time AT and T yet. and we have also added some new plans for your contract. But if you leave your contract early you have to pay the 175 dollar fee per line.

you shouldnt be. that is such a dumb rule. I dont even pay attention. but there are ways to get out of it but I am not supposed to tell you. But I will

If you have insurance on your phone and you want to get out of the contract just break the phone on purpose and say that you dont want a new phone and you want to opt out and that should reduce the "fine" but if you came into my store I would wipe it completely.

going to take a look at a boat today. My friend is moving to Brunswick, GA, and her 20k+ boat is a bot of a pain to haul, so she said she'll sell it to me for what she owes which is only 9k.
I've always wanted a boat, but I don't know if this is the best time since we are looking to move.

What kind of boat is it? Pontoon, ski, or bass?
What kind of boat is it? Pontoon, ski, or bass?
The way she describes it, it's more of a ski boat. In my mind it's like a bayliner. It has the area up front for people to sit or lay out, and in the back you have coolers and such. I think she said it was a 19 footer. Since I haven't seen it, and (no offense, she's a woman describing a boat) I'm not sure what to expect. I do not want a fishing boat. I want more of a speed / ski boat with areas to relax / cookout and layout.

Well, it's easy to describe a pontoon boat, so it sounds more like a ski boat.

Pontoons are nice to have if you want to cruise, party or spend a lot of time on the water in. Ski boats are better for recreation, but not as much fun for spending the day on. I personally would not own a boat unless I had a place close to or on the water. My parents live in a lake community and have a pontoon, but they don't have a boat slip to park the boat in. It's a pain in the ass having to take it in and out everyday.

We have a lake (man made) that's about 10 minutes away, and we have a river that runs through town, although it's very small and shallow. A lot jet skis on it. I really want a yacht. I'm not refering to one of those monsters, I am referring to a boat that has a sleeping section underneath. We commonly think of a yacht as some luxury for the rich and a boat that is 3 times bigger than it needs to be...but they make sensible yachts now, plenty 50k or under. You can even get a nice big one used for well under 100k. But I don't make enough money to allow that. Thus I am looking at a 9k boat. :D

I guess my advice would be to wait until you've decided about moving. You may end up deciding to move somewhere that's not close to water and then what are going to do? Just a thought.

If I were going to buy anything it would be a sea doo. You can have a lot of fun hanging out and playing on the water and they're easier to maintain. I wouldn't mind having a 3 seater. Those things ride like cadillacs on the water.

That's actually great advice, thank you. But all places I am looking to move to have water near them. (lakes / rivers / even ocean) A factor is that I can get this for 9k, then turn around and sell it for 14k or so because I have the time to sell it while my friend is moving on Tuesday.

Yeah, those are nice, but they are a good 10k too. I want to grill out on the water and relax by laying out and entertaining friends. A boat works for me.

I'm off to go see it...I'll see you guys later.
