Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Certainly more than the Redskins were willing to pay for Ross. Curious how heavily this may impact other potentially pending moves.

SS, any word on Fletch? Are the skins looking for a replacement at ILB? |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Last I heard they are still a couple of million apart. Both sides seem to be waiting for other LBs to get signed to see what the market is

Played like a pro bowler in the Green Bay game as well |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Oh well on Aaron Ross not being signed...We should give Tracy Porter a look

Porter is not worth whatever big amount he is going to ask. Rather sign S Y. Bell and draft a rookie CB. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I'm still liking Dwight Bentley in the 3rd round. Is there any FA out there that we are looking at. After resigning Fletch what else is there.

i like bentley too. i say after/if we sign fletch the biggest holes are RT and safety and adding a corner would be nice |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
We should definitely give Porter a look... I'd doubt he gets the large contract he wanted, with many teams having signed CB's, therfore likely making his asking price drop. That said we shouldn't lowball him; I'd offer him a 3-4 yr deal worth around 15-20 mil (5 mil per year).

i do like that porter is young, hes decent. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I think Porter is visiting with the Raiders right now.

Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
Just my preference, I would rather Meriweather play FS, he excelled there in NE, when he moved to SS he regressed.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency Tracker
I would be fine with Porter as well.

Darn you SS I don't know if I read too far into everything you write now... but however this effects D Hall I would be OK with it happening no matter who takes his place. If I am off base, move along nothing to see here. |

I agree I would be fine with Meriweather at either Free or Strong. Hes got the range and speed to play Free, but with our situation at safety now I like him in the box bc he is physical. Bottom line is we need another starting safety across from him regardless if its strong or free. |
