Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
The Best defensive Lineman that ever played the game. Man he sure was off his rocker for even saying that cause he is not even the best lineman in the NFC East right now. I hope AH turns it around and just goes out every Sunday and destroy who ever is playing over him.
1st thing - he didn't say he was the best lineman ever...he said he wanted to become the best lineman ever. What is wrong with that?? |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I honestly don't think behind the scenes that Shanahan is engaged in this stand off with AH that some seem to think. At this point it's probably up to Haslett as what packages he's playing in, and AH probably just hasn't won his complete trust yet.
Plus with the late start he got in the 3-4 he's just not where he needs to be yet. AH himself just said the transition has been difficult. With the problems we're already having, I'm not sure tossing a guy in there that's not 100% comfortable in what he's doing is really the answer. |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I just wanted to share something with all of you regarding Albert Haynesworth. Everyone is jumping on his ass and calling him this or that or the person you THINK he is. I am not sure if you people here saw the news piece on a guy that had a rare cancer and got to get a VIP walk through of the redskins facility, meet the players, coaches, go through the locker room, meeting rooms, film rooms all that. It was aired probably about a month 1/2 ago on ABC. Kevin Robinson was his name. That is my best friend, and unfortunately he passed about a month ago, not long after that story aired. the point of this post is to let you know AH is honestly a good dude. This was when he wasn't speaking the media, fans or anything and he walked by Kevin and asked if he could have a picture, and AH turned around and said absolutely! Walked over talked to Kevin and his wife for a while. He was the nicest guy he met all day, and he met a ton of the players. Albert said that all the stuff that he goes through means absolutely nothing, that Kevin is an inspiration to a lot of people. I just thought after all the AH bashing, I needed to share that story.

Hell of a story and most of all I am truly sorry to hear about your friend. It seems that he had some good moments on his way out. You'd like to hear more stories like this but there are so many that havent met him and their words are more relieble because they match the rumor mill. As far as his game, I just hope he gets a shot on the field. Matt, I'm with you on not throwing him out there if he isn't quite comfortable but honestly is anyone on this defense comfortable yet ? It doesn't look that way. Hell Haslett himself doesn't seem that comfrotable but this team has to put the best players on the field. I learned how to drive on the road, not it a classroom. You gotta get that man out there. |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
Well, he did play more last week than we've seen so that should be a good sign. Not sure how many snaps exactly but he did seem to be in there alot.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
#56Fanatic, my condolences on your friend. And I don't doubt that Haynesworth has good qualities as a human being. As do most other players. From people I've spoken to AH is a good guy
However, as cold as this may sound, that's not an excuse for the decisions he chosen to make as a football player. More importantly, the decisions he chosen to make as a member of our favorite team-the Washington Redskins. He made the adult decision not to attend the OTAs and mini-camps and work out on his own. I've got absolutely no problem with that. But when you do all that, I would expect that he would come ready to pass a standard conditioning test and know the defensive schemes. That's my issue with him. I don't mean to take anything away from what he did for your friend, that was certainly a tremendous gesture. But, Danny Wuerffel was with very little argument the nicest, most genuine Redskin I ever met. Absolutely loved talking to him as a person. As a Skins fan, I didn't want him on the field. |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
Heart felt condolences to you and yours 56.
Nice story about AH. Good to hear he is a person with a heart. But I have to agree with Smoot on his points as well. |
Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
SS hit it on the head here. I have no doubts AH has a good side to him, but the way he's conducted his business in football matters has been piss poor to say the least.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth
I'm sorry but I don't think AH deserves a medal for talking to this guy or taking a picture with him. It's what all but the most horrible human beings would do in that situation. It doesn't do a thing to change my opinion of haynesworth as a greedy narcissistic individual that doesn't deserve the honor of wearing a redskins uniform.

I wasn't trying to get it to sway your impression of AH. I was just showing that what the perception of most is not always the true meaning of a person. People think TO is an ass. My neighbors daughter has brain cancer and has to go to philly for treatments every so often. TO use to come to the hospital (unannounced) and sit and talk to the kids and the families. My neighbor specifially, he sat in their room for 45 minutes. I think the media has so much to do with influencing peoples perceptions of athletes. Now, some of them are true to what is portrayed, but like AH, TO seems to be a pretty nice dude when the camera's are not on him. AH has been a great guy in the locker room, playing around with the players and guys think he is a pretty cool guy to hang with. Now what he did in the offseason was pretty shitty. But he has come in, has done everything the coaches have asked and put in extra work. He is a dominant player and needs to be on the field, CONSISTANTLY. not just a play here or there. Seems like i have too many horrible stories of sick people. that is it. No more sick people stories. |

Sometimes we as fans like to judge People based on their Performance on the field.. NFL stars are just like the rest of us, we all make mistakes but we are all just HUMAN.. Sorry about your friend man, Seems like AH is down to earth . |
