Finished it up a while ago, I still do some of the workouts here and there but I mostly run now and do my own thing when it comes to lifting. |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
free weights is where it's at

100% agreed. I lift FR at home about 5-6 days a week. Over the weekend, I went into a gym in my father-in-law's community and used the machines for a while..didn't like it. The movements just don't feel natural and the range of motion seems inferior. Of course, I broke my nose in December with free weights but the gains are worth it. :D |
Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
The machines definitely don't give you as good of a workout.
Back to the gear grinding, with the nice weather it's officially flip-flop weather for women in the office, how is that acceptable? |

As pretty as they are, they smell something fierce. Hoping for some rain over the next few days to knock the smell down. |

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
:D I had a buddy a couple years ago that used to ride a scooter, and he told me he never parked his in the middle of the parking space because too many people wouldn't even pay attention and they'd just try to pull in and hit his scooter. But yes, I agree, that is annoying. Especially when it's in the close end of a crowded parking lot next to a store and you can't see it.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
I don't get what's wrong with the scooter. He has to park somewhere. I need to get a pic of the guy around here who dresses and looks like a biker dude but rides a scooter.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?
parking lots in general, selfish beasts. when you're waiting for someone to back out and you've established yourself, turn signal and all. then the snake slithers in while the car backing up is blocking you. they park, i'm still there w my turn signal and the window down "i like your driving, where did you learn?" of the several times that has happened, one guy apologized and actually moved his car to give me the spot. another time i was in high school, in the parking lot for giant, about to start work, holiday season, packed lot. had done 10 laps looking for a spot, it happened. but it was a spot like where the scooter is parked, next to an island, i double parked that bastard. both of our cars were still there when i got off 8 hours later. i saw him walk into giant, he didn't work there, i'd like to think that he didn't work at another business in the shopping center. who knows
