Re: 2019 mlb
If you're a politician and you feel the need to have your presence announced at a sporting event, you deserve to get boo'd.
Those were 4 bright spots behind the plate. In regards to the actual series, sports are just weird. Looks like Astros are going to go from down 0-2, to winning the series 4-2. |
Re: 2019 mlb
I just hate how we went from a position of strength to now...you had to get at least one at home. The bats only scoring 3 runs in 3 games, its just frustrating.
I do feel confident with Strasburg Tuesday...I dunno why, but I feel we can take the game...Gotta at least put 3 on the board. |

If somehow the Nats can win tonight...maybe they will be able to have Max on the mound for Wednesday. That is the ONLY path I can see for the Nats to win the WS. But, of course, the Big issue is that the Nats need to get key hits when they have men on base, and they need to Drive In Runs! Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk |
Re: 2019 mlb
Gotta get tonight...can’t focus on nothing else. I think the bats rebound as well

Re: 2019 mlb
What a blast!

Re: 2019 mlb
These teams have as about as much as a home field advantage as the Redskins.

Re: 2019 mlb
Before this year Stras was quietly making a name for himself, after this year I fear he leaves just so he can the ace of someone else's staff. That performance was on par with any that I've ever seen, and I attended his first game as a rookie.
Also shoutout to Rendon, way to hit a donger after that horseshit call in the 7th. |

How is an errant throw the base runner's fault, he sure looked like he kept a proper path to me. Looks like the Nats have this in the bag as the road team has now won every game. |

I hope to everything that we keep Rendon. He, Turner, and Soto are a great trio, also that call in the 7th was utter BS |
Re: 2019 mlb
Max needs to come out not so pumped tonight where hes trying to hit 98 on the gun. Just come out poised.
My only question is Gerrett Cole...is he available for the Stros tonight? |

+1 We have the same mindset Quake. Max's challenge tonight is keeping his emotions in check to start the game. If we get 5 innings and <2 runs out of him I'll be happy. All hands on deck tonight. Bob, someone mentioned it (think it was A-Rod on the postgame) but Gurriel did a great job of sticking his glove right into Turner's path on a ball that had no chance to get him out. He knew he had no chance to get him out so he stuck his glove in the path and got the dogshit interference call. Chico I'm sure Cole will be available for at least an inning tonight. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Wow game 7 folks! Let’s go nats

Re: 2019 mlb
Fuck you Dan Snyder you piece of fucking shit. Everyone can win in DC, just not you.
Congrats Nats fan. As a Braves fan and a Redskins fan, this one is a dick kick. Braves can't win a series and Redskins are a fucking joke. Meanwhile the Nationals are winning a fucking World Series. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Amazing, once 19-31 and then winning all those games when facing elimination. That has to be the most improbable World Series winner ever.
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Wow. Went to sleep 2-0 Stros. Woke up and grabbed my phone, wooooah. Congrats Nats!
Fuck you Houston! Hahaha. |

Martinez is a great manager. He deserves a ton of credit |
Re: 2019 mlb
Who woulda thought lose Bryce...win the World Series....and with this bullpen!
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Congrats to the Nats, hard to believe when they were dead in the water early in the season they would have turned it around like this.
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Nats have some really good damn culture.
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Between the Caps, Mystics and Nats DC can't have a woe is me sporst attitude any more.
Even though I am not a Nats fan I love how these teams support each other: https://russianmachineneverbreaks.com/2019/10/31/capitals-sing-baby-shark-and-give-nationals-directions-to-fountains-in-celebration-of-world-series-victory/#more-342894 |
Re: 2019 mlb
I can't believe they did it! How incredible for this team. I really did not expect the win the way Greinke was pitching...but thank you Rendon once again! I would've been fine with giving him the MVP
|
Re: 2019 mlb
5 elimination games, behind in all of them and won each one, 19-32 at one point. What these guys just did may never be done again. I can't wait for that parade Sat.

Bryce can't feed his family on 300 million. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Congrats to the Nats!
That was cool to watch as an Os fan in Nats country. Specialized relief pitching was all the rage when the Royals and teams like that used their bullpen to "shorten games". Now it seems its back to starting pitching. I heard driving in that Strasburg, max, corbyn, sanchez and doolittle pitched like 130 of the 150 or so post season innings. before Bumgarner did it, I cant remember a SP closing games in the WS. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Feels good to watch the rest of DC winning titles while the Redskins sink. Wish some of that organizational competency would run off on Dan.
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Any of you Nats fans going to the parade?
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Well it was a win win situation for me,living in Houston I am an Astros fan but if we had to lose it was good to see the Nats get it,I have quite a few relatives and friends that are huge Nats fan.
It was also good to see more than one newspaper article from Nats fans that went to game 7 and said how great the Astro's fans were to them even after the loss |

I went. Huge turnout, felt similar to the Caps last year. Good to see DC unite for something. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Just to show how much I have lost interest in the Redskins...
106.7 WJFK re-broadcast Game 7 of the Worlds Series today from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM... And I listened [emoji101] to it instead of the Redskins game! Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk |
