So what's the deal with his injury though. I only ask because I didn't really follow the lead up to the draft, and now people are talking about the injury as the reason for the drop.
Some teams were worried about it but other teams were not. I don't think it was a big deal or the main reason for him going at 17. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
If Dalvin Cook goes to the Giants............

Allen is compared to Fletcher Cox by the NFL.com
Nice complement |
Today has been a good fucking day. Productive as hell at work. Skins sign Moses to an extension, and now drafting the best DL prospect in the draft at the #17 spot. It's miller time!

Would love to move back into rd1 lol, the excitement is fin, but, it'd better be worth it

According to Cooley, he had some pain in his shoulder as a senior in Highschool, he had a minor surgery before his Junior season in college, and has not had any pain or taken any plays off. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Allen is on 980 right now

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Do the Browns take Kizer?
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
I'm still hard.
Just thought I'd share. 1st time in 20+ years where the dream scenario occurred and they actually took the right guy. HTTR |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
If the Skins could trade up and get Foster, I could skip the rest of the draft.
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
since we are in dream world where the redskins are having an awesome draft....it actually becomes possible to trade our 2nd and 3rd to around 29 in the first round....if Reuben Foster is still there....I would make that trade in a second.
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
I have a bad feeling Foster ends up on either the Cowboys or Steelers

I would not do that. We have too many holes. We can use that 3rd for another OL to shore up our C/LG spot. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Takkarist McKinley was fired up!! From the Richmond, CA ghetto to the NFL promising his dying grandmother he would play in the NFL. Good for him!
Bowl of dicks for the rest of the NFC east. Suck it fuckers
Bowl of dicks! Lol. I wanted Cook as FSU fan, but we just got a guy that went from top 3 overall to 17 over media heightened fear mongering about his shoulders. We've all complained about separate things, but I'd say the 1 thing every one could agree with the past few years, our d line left a LOT to be desired. And the guy is a leader. HTTR! If we get a new left guard and 1 (or 2) more guy for d line, I think we're really strong up front on both sides now. This fall is even bigger (in good way for us) than Doctson last year. Sidebar, re signing Moses...fucking awesome. We're locked in at both tackle spots. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Ruben Foster goes to the 49ers.....damnit!
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
and the Steelers get TJ Watt.....double damnit....two guys I wanted, off the board
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
very happy how this has turned out, lots of gravy still there for day 2.
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
What gets me most excited about the Allen pick is the coaching around him.
He'll be coached by Tomsula going against a Callahan Offensive Line in practice. I like the chances of him maximizing his potential. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
nevermind edit.
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
I hope with the second pick they go for either Ryan Anderson (Allen's teammate)
Or the Connecticut S. https://www.google.com/amp/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2017-nfl-draft-ryan-anderson-is-the-best-alabama-player-no-ones-talking-about/amp/ |

Good article with videos. I don't think there was a single player in this draft that was a better fit. I can't believe he fell to is. If we get get another big body (Tuikolovatu?) late in the draft, we are going to have a vastly improved D line. Especially our run game. It would be nice to also add a pass rusher and an ILB. But looking at the board, I think they go with Safety (I like Buddha Baker), but if Dalvin Cook falls to is by some crazy luck (like we had tonight) I think that's a must pick. It might be worth it to move up for him even. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Lol great to see Cowboys got screwed. They wanted CBs Conley or White. Or they would have taken Peppers. They all got chosen right before their pick! Lololololol
Great first round! |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
2nd round I'd go C or RB. We've now added a ton of defense this OS so far. We need a RB

Great first round!
Yeah who the hell they got to cover anyone this yr??? Last yr was a fluke this yr they will be exposed. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
I think we're set up well for the second round. I checked my list and there are more than 17 players I'd be happy to pick still on the board. I'm less concerned about position than I am about good value. Another defensive player would be great but so would a game-breaker at RB or a plug-and-play LG. We'll be fine.

Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Cook or Mixon, would be great.

Nevermind on Mixon, what a piece of trash. |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Really happy with this pick.
I'm ok with BPA for the rest of the draft (and this 1st pick may very have been BPA). If you think about it: we improved our secondary by signing Swearinger and moving Cravens to SS; we're way better with Zach Brown at ILB; and now Allen... Sure another playmaker at DL would be nice, we could use a CB , a LG/C and a RB. But I don't see any gaping holes in this team anymore. I would love us NOT to draft a QB before the 5th round, would mean they HAVE to sign KC long term before July 15th. Only position I don't want us to draft is WR. Our receiving corp is loaded. Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
The more I think about it, our next pick should be the S from Connecticut, Hall and Blackmon are old, need to get more young blood. Other options, another pass rusher or DL.
|
Nevermind on Mixon, what a piece of trash.
I would take Mixon. He could be the next Marshall Faulk. |

I was just coming to say, if Cook isn't there when we pick, that's who I want next |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
The UConn S has measurables, but I'm reading a LOT about how stiff he is in the hips. Not sure I want to take a chance on him, especially if we end up having to decide between him and Baker.
|
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
I would take Mixon.
He could be the next Marshall Faulk.
I would too...heard from multiple analysts that D Cook has more character issues than Mixon. |

D has been our weakness, need to get stronger there. Save the RB for the 3rd round. |

I agree, BUT if Cook is there.....I don't see how we could pass that up, I honestly don't think he will be there |
Re: NFL Draft 2017: Round 1
Tim Williams from Alabama will be a special player, BUT failing drug tests and getting arrested is a concern haha
