Re: Around the NFL week 3
Michael Vick of Philaelphia Eagles leaves after breaking right hand - ESPN
"Looking at the replays, I'm on the ground every time, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't frustrated," Vick said in his postgame news conference. "The refs have got to do their jobs. And I mentioned it to the refs in training camp when I talked to them. I'm on the ground constantly, all the time. Every time I throw the ball, I'm on the ground. And I don't know why I don't get the 15-yard flags like everybody else does."
That's right Vick, rip the refs. They'll surely listen to you now. And I'm sure the lack of flags has something to do with the fact that Vick is not your normal qb. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
The Eagles being 1-2 just doesn't surprise me. You can't buy team chemistry and they have none...at least on defense. They can't stop the run. Cullen Jenkins and Babin haven't done anything. And the last two weeks their corners have looked average. Plus they have their o-line coach running the defense. To me they really miss Jim Johnson and since he's passed their defense just hasn't been the same.

Re: Around the NFL week 3
I saw the hit that gave Vick his broken hand and honestly that's a typical play in the NFL. If it was blatantly late I'd support his argument but come on, he had just gotten rid of the ball. There was nothing late about it, and clearly Vick is just pissed that that his offensive line can't protect him.

Re: Around the NFL week 3
Through the first three games, I don't see anything special about the Eagles secondary either. None of them. Lots of arm tackles, blown coverages, and deep throws.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 3
The greatness of the Raidahs!! I love it!!

agreed, all hype so far. sure didn't keep that little dude Cruz from eating their lunch today. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
These late games are a bust except for Oakland-New York. Washington-Dallas is the next interesting game.

Their corners are straight. It's their line backers and safety positions that are lacking a bit. LBs are the guys that end up getting the tackles which is exactly why people can run on the Eagles. Whoever came up with the brilliant idea of making the OL the defensive coordinator is probably going to be looking a job next year. (bye Reid) |

That running game with Run DMC is ridiculous. Fun fact - McFadden is averaging twice as many yards per rushing attempt then Campbell is per pass attempt. (10.3 to 5.1) |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
Julio Jones with two straight first down plays.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 3
What happened to the dream team?
I thought they were going 16-0. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
Roddy White looking upfield too soon.

I doubt Reid will go anywhere anytime soon. He's one of the best in league, but that is looking like a bad decision. But it's funny to hear you say that the Eagles linebackers and safties are deficient, but some on Warpath wouldn't give our corners the same benefit of the doubt. I'm only saying there whole package looks pretty ordinary right now and Nnamdi has had balls thrown his way this year and hasn't done much. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
Jason Campbell is pretty underwhelming.

The roles are reversed in Oakland. Running game is for big plays, passing game is for the nickle and dime stuff. |

Yeah, he's surrounded by a shitload of talent around him to mask his flaws. McFadden is godly. |

The Raidahs are stacked, if they can cut the stupid penalties they could be awesome even with Campbell. NE is going down again next week in Oakland!! |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
MVP Brady. Go ahead and just give him the trophy now
Jumped the gun on that eh?...lol |

Why do you always sound like you are either putting money on the Raiders or you are one of their fans?? |

Probably not, with all those penalties Oakland tends to commit. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
How about it? We have a chance tomorrow to join the 3-0 club with the Packers, Lions, and Bills. Let's make it HAPPEN!!!

He's still better than what they've had all of last year. But the whole trade of DRC and two 2nds for him was pretty ridiculous and dumb IMO |

Only one second round pick in the deal if I'm not mistaken. |

Too early to say, they could easily be 2-1, wait till the seasons over. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
Ok folks.....
Colts or Steelers? lol. |

Meanwhile Hasselbeck and the Titans are sitting at 2-1. Zona could've had Hasselbeck without having to give up DRC and their 2nd rounder. |

Suisham from 48, no sweat
Ok folks.....
Ok folks.....
Colts or Steelers? lol.
F-it! I'll take the Colts on the BIG UPSET. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
I'll go Steelers. It might be closer than some think but come on, you put any pressure on Kerry Collins to win the game by himself and I don't think he'll deliver. And you know the Colts won't be able to run the ball on the Steelers.

Re: Around the NFL week 3
Oakland is a solid team BUT.. Let's not get carried away they are pretty much 1 dimensional and honestly the JETS have lost a step on D, after Dallas walked all over them and now Oakland did too

If they can run the ball they will have a chance. As long as you just ask Campbell to manage the game and don't put it in his hands they will have a shot to win games with the defense they run. |

They have a nasty defense, good young receivers, great RB's, this team has talent, lots of it. Like I said, NE is going down next week. |

Yeah I think I'm with you on this one. I figured no way the Colts go 0-2 last week and they did. I just can't imagine them going 0-3. The announcers talked about Payton being up in the booth I presume passing the plays down or helping to give suggestions as to what play to use. Edit: well TD by Steelers. We could end up being all wrong. lol. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
agree Oakland is nasty. Pittsburgh will prolly stroll thru a blowout even tho I wish Indy would make it fun to watch but... they won't Collins and that offense are lost .. and they can cover Mike Wallace ...
|
Re: Around the NFL week 3
Colts have no shot.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 3
Colts have no shot.
The only thing they have a shot at is Andrew Luck. I don't know if I've ever seen such a 1 man team in any sport ever. I mean, maybe LeBron in Cleveland, but the Colts truly suck. |
Re: Around the NFL week 3
Hey LiL Wayne caught a pass as opposed to the French guy Garson.
