Yeah this was either the smartest or luckiest thing that has ever happened to her career.

Re: Jets being investigated for harassment of female Mexican reporter

She's already considered the 5th sexiest sports reporter in the world by fhmonline and she needs more publicity? Open your eyes! The latina sports reporters are universally sexier and flirtier than the ones here. So they are used to the commentary. My Mexican wife is used to a lot of attention from the guys, and the 'piropos' (friendly comments, including catcalls if not intimidating) are fine. This story is making this woman face more flak for the way she dresses than any good publicity she could get (which she doesn't need). She's basically being told that the way she dresses in other countries is not acceptable in the Puritanical US of A. She herself, in the video off of foxsports, says that she didn't have a problem with the catcalls, and basically says she's used to it. It was the OTHER reporters who made a big deal out of it. I think it's because the female reporters don't want one who is sexy in the lockerroom. They worry that it will "set back the women". As usual in a case like this, it is not the person who SHOULD be offended who is complaining. (Think about the number of people who say that the Redskins should change their name who are not of Indian descent.) I'd like to see the PCers take their attitude and shove it. (You may also note that the interviewer in the interview wants to try to make a point; to do so he tries to force her into closed-ended questions and doesn't let her finish what she's trying to say. In addition he pressures her greatly when she's trying to answer the question of why she felt uncomfortable. Is it possible the other reporters made her feel uncomfortable because she felt pressured to complain when she felt no need?)

There's an easy way to end this. Ask her if she's interested that this continue. If she says no, drop it. Of course this is inconvenient for the agenda of a lot of people.

Sadly, I have to admit I went back to look at post 95. Here's the link:
The Five Sexiest Sports Reporters in the World | FHMonline.com

Got to say that Erin Andrews is a good pick, but this Mexican reporter is up there. In reporting, of course. Great.. jeans. Don't agree with number one.

Go Clinton for taking the hit. Although most would agree on some level with him, a bonehead move for vocalizing it to the media. He's got to get some friends and talk to them, instead of ESPN all the time. To be clear, it was wrong of the players to do it -- but you CAN'T be surprised.
