Re: Trump's cabinet
It's just amazing how all of Trump's picks are dogshit before they can even complete 1-day on the job. And somehow Trump is also the only president ever that appoints cabinet members that are mostly in-line with his thinking.
Like Peter Buttigieg, Merrick Garland, Antony Blinken, Janet Yellen, etc. etc. aren't the same "sycophants" that Biden appointed, but just with a D next to their name instead. I just don't understand the blatant double-standard you guys can have about all things Trump. Like he was the beginning and end of this. Nothing like this EVER happened before 2016 or from 2020-2024.
Two things: 1. There is a really good chance that some of the people you converse with on here are government employees (or have close relatives who are government employees) and the Trump administration is likely to eliminate their jobs. These people are unlikely to say anything positive about Trump ever. 2. So many people on the left get their information from social media, and for the past 8+ years, social media platforms have been running hard and fast algorithms on people to have strict control over exactly what information they are exposed to. Regular "left" and "right" media is also on polar ends of the political spectrum. That is why a poster above had no clue about the policy issues you mentioned (which greatly contributed to a brutal election loss). That poster is not "stupid" or a "hypocrite." He was just uninformed (which is both common and entirely by design). Hopefully, the Trump administration puts a hard stop to all of the psyoping abuses that have created a huge societal divide. |

Try it without the caveat "left" and you'd be accurate, and I'd even go so far as to say the right is even more uniformed than the left. The US is essentially screwed. Dems moved too far left and can't see that is why they lost (Heck just last week Dem Congressman Moulter tried to tell them this and now the progressives promise to primary him), while a populist right movement has essentially destroyed conservatism in the GOP. So, we end up with the worst of both worlds. |

I agree that it can be accurate in either case (which is something I did allude to in my post), but I specified "left" in my response because the previous poster's question was specifically about the "left." |

So no one on the right got any information from "social media"? There is no worse media outlet then MAGA FOX, your making pretty big assumptions with no facts to back it up. |

But yeah, hypocrite, what surprise
Nahhh, look at the look on his face. Trump is cucking him by forcing him to eat food he doesn't like. Reminding him who's in charge. You gotta kiss the ring if you want to work in Trump's administration. |

Actually there are worse. One America News and News Max are definitely worse, while MSNBC is at least as bad. |
Re: Trump's cabinet
Didn’t see the Trump dance celebrations becoming a thing.
Different times |

Different times
Which dance celebrations you referring? From NFL? Yeah, because the right told the left players to stick to sports and leave politics out of it. Soon as their team does it, it's great! How is that by the way? |

How is that by the way?
Well we’ve seen college, nfl, mma and now the top US men’s soccer player do it…I don’t think it’s political in nature 90% of the time, just being done in fun. That’s what’s different. It doesn’t have to be divisive tone Like i said prior, it hasn’t been the absolute meltdown like we saw in 2016. People seem generally fine with the election and even excited about Trump 2.0 |

Re: Trump's cabinet
Trumps not even back in office yet and ideas are already being floated that would lead to a Constitutional crisis. (I hope this isn't coming from anyone on the Trump team).

Its not as much of a shock as it was in 2016. People really didn't expect him to win based on the polls showing Hillary with solid leads in the blue wall states. This time, the polls were showing more of an even race, and Trump outperformed the polls in 2016 and 2020, when he was further down to Biden than he was to Hillary, and just barely lost. I don't discount the general appeal of Trump's America First agenda. But the main thrust seems to be in improving things for the average American that went sideways.....but from exactly when did that start? The logical answer to me is that policies of both parties have been a failure in that regard based on things like trade, immigration, foreign aid, wars, etc. Unfortunately, it seems that voters of either party will reflexively blame the other for the country's woes. I ask, again....if Trump had ran as a Dem in 2016 and beaten Hillary in the primaries espousing the same policies, how many GOP voters would've chosen him over, say, Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio in a general election? |
