Re: Game Goats
yeah the stat they showed last night. alex barron most penalties since 2005.
the second most penalized since '05? flozell adams
If that's the most notable feature of your stats, then the face you should sport for the camera for your identification should not be one expressing the image of "I'm the hardest of hard asses." Has someone already made a comment about this? I'm talking about the facial image that NBC showed for each player it identified, and the images were not still ones but rather moving ones. For Barron, he slowly raised his head and then glared as if he could kill with his stare alone (NBC showed it at least twice). Seriously dude, you kinda suck. Show a little bit more humility. |

The best was watching Mr Homo choking back from crying in his interview after the game.
Speaking of Mr. Homo... During his pre-game interview right before the game, I noticed he wasn't his normal smiling, cocky self. He looked like a deer in the headlights and very nervous...did not even crack a fraction of a smile. Guess he knew what was coming from the D...or scared about his own line. |

The best was watching Mr Homo choking back from crying in his interview after the game.
haha yeah FD, im glad you said that b/c i saw the same thing. homegirl was on the verge of crying. you could tell that as he began to talk football, he started to hold his emotions better. real interesting post game by romo. gave alot of props to haslett and our D scheme and players. |
Re: Game Goats
Romo said the Skins gave them some looks he had never seen before, thought that was interesting

Re: Game Goats
Seem from US before...or never saw at all?
We did have some interesting schemes on D...playing with 1 D-Lineman many times...a whole army of LBs lined up, standing up, off the line and ready to ambush Romo. Landry played a DE-looking position sometimes. CB blitzes where the safeties both rotate to the blitzing CB's assignment...who Romo may think is open because the CB blitzed. Haslett looks like a genius. I swear I saw a 1-8-2 or 1-7-3 scheme a few times. :D |
i give d hall props for returning the fumble but his tackles came from guys making catchs on him. he is a playmaker but he is not close to being a shut down corner. im not knocking hall, i like the fact that los shuts guys down and hall creates turnovers. but hall is far from a complete corner and given the choice id go los over hall if i had to pick one.
on atleast 2 plays gurode tossed haynesworth like a body bag. they made sure to replay it a few times and comment on it as well. sorry you missed it.
With a little over 8:00 in the second, the center and guard moved him out of the play laterally on a big run. Commanding a double team is not getting "tossed around". I saw Haynesworth jack up their guy with a little over 4:00 in the 3rd. With 2:00 in the 3rd Gurode got the better of him initially, then he held Albert and didn't get called when Al recovered (per Collinsworth). So now that is twice that I have watched the game and still have no idea what you are talking about. I did watch Kemo get pushed back consistently on single teams and was like a rag doll on double teams. He is big and slow and gets zero push into the backfield. If all you Albert haters get your wish, get used to seeing our linebackers having to avoid 96 getting pushed over them. |
Re: Game Goats
Reed Doughty is slow as hell. He is plain shitty in coverage, and blows tackles like a two bit whore blows sailors on the first and 15th.
Cut this useless POS. Seriously. That was just pitiful. (Can't believe we won last night playing with 10 men on defense the whole game) |

He has always been poor in coverage but last night he looked like he did his rookie year. He also couldn't tackle. He was tackling pretty well last year so I will assume he will improve. I recall Landry haters, who have scattered like roaches btw., talking about a safety tandem of Doughty and Horton. That would be an unmitigated nightmare. |
Sorry, D-Hall can say whatever the hell he wants this week.
Al did not have much impact but I have never seen him get "tossed around".
Your constant Haynesworth apologies amaze me. Haynesworth took plays off (surprise), and was very slow out of his stance on at least two plays (as in the last lineman on either side of the ball out of his three point stance). He's dominant when he wants to be, but he doesn't want to be. Not here anyway. He stood on the sidelines by himself pouting when he wasn't in the game. He's a head case. |
Re: Game Goats
I'm concerned about the run defense. Dallas was dumb and got away from running the ball. I have big concerns about our LB's in coverage on short passes and screens, and I think we can be gashed by good running teams.
Our D-line is a big, big weakness IMO. It's a shame Haynesworth doesn't give a shit about this team, because it would be nice to have him buy in and earn a full-time role. |

Here's the thing, Kemo isn't even servicable when he wants to be so until we have a solution to letting Al go (which no one on this board has come up with) I will argue that the coaches should earn their checks and motivate him. I maintain that the team is better with a motivated Haynesworth. If the coaches are not good enough to get something out of him then get this over with and get rid of him. If he goes to the Titans, he is going to destroy us when we play them this year. |

Re: Game Goats
I think that Mike Sellars should be looking for other work. He was terrible last night
