Re: nfl network gone?
Two words, fellas. VERIZON FIOS! Easily the best service I've had. NFL Network, regular and HD. Tons of HD channels, as a previous poster said, the picture is amazing. Unlike Cable, the HD feeds come uncompressed, thus they look much much better. Satallite is even worse than cable with their compression. If you move from DTV to FIOS, your picture will look like you bought a new television set.
I pay about 100 a month, I get prolly 4-500 channels, 15MBPS down / 2 mpbs up internet, and I'm LOVING it. |

Re: nfl network gone?
does the NFL network get packaged with other sports channels?
|
Re: nfl network gone?
yeah, Comcast offers the NFL Network as part of their Sports package, which includes Speed, several Fox Sports Net feeds, Fox Soccer Channel, and a few others...$5 extra a month isn't bad...
I can't wait for FiOS. Once it's offered here in Frederick, I'm jumping all over it. |
Re: nfl network gone?
Obviously, it's tough if you're not in the DC area, Matty.

I've tried them all man...just not a big beer fan. I like those, or I'd drink something a lot stronger. |

oh yeah sorry I wasn't thinking about that Still, I think even if I did live down there I would still want the ticket. I like being able to watch other games that aren't on regular TV. |
Re: nfl network gone?
I just switched to Direct TV too. No more trekking to a bar to watch the skins, and I'll even be able to hear the game! Can't wait!

You're gonna love it. I've had it since they came out with it, and I don't regret it at all! It's a must have for those that don't live in the DC area. |
Re: nfl network gone?
Yeah if you dont live in DC you GOTTA have the ticket... BUT Verizon is planning on bidding to get it from DTV once their contract is up (in 08 i think), so as of '09 if you want the ticket you might have to get Fios, learned that from one of the local verizon VP's i talk to ocassionally here at my work.

Re: nfl network gone?
I'd be surprised to see anyone but DTV get the ticket. Simply because you can't always get comcast, verizon, cox, etc etc.
|
Re: nfl network gone?
Me too, and I get it because I get the NFL Sunday ticket so I can watch all teh Skins games. I've had it for like 8 years or something like that. I think I got it when it first came out. I can't live without it.
Same here. My wife hates football but always antes up for me to see my Fins every year without me asking. What a gal! |

I hope not...we don't have Verizon out here and I never heard of Fios. It's through 2010 FYI, and I doubt that Directv would let it go...if they did, hundreds of thousands of subscribers would drop the service (myself included). I only have DTV because of the ticket. Here's a link to the fact that it's through 2010. NFL Sunday Ticket - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
Re: nfl network gone?
haha, did you link to wikipedia and refer to it as fact? Wikipedia is a great resource, but don't ever use it as a 'fact.' Considering I could have written that and I have no idea if it's true our not, makes it hard to trust.
If I move out of the VA area I might have to see how much for just Sunday Ticket. After going FIOS, I dont think I can go back!~ |
