I guess Dockett still believes that Kurt Warner is still the Cards' QB. Otherwise, he would know that his team will be losing a lot too.
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Well, Bobby Mitchell and Sonny worked out well for the Skins, hopefully the same happened.
So anyone else thinks that an 8-8 seasons or less than that means the end of Andy Reid in Philly?
well they're taking his control away so he could be in trouble and the FO might not be far behind if Kolb doesn't work out |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Stats don't tell the whole story
No. Your biases are clear enough. Fact is that McNabb is more experienced than Campbell in the WCO. He's had a lot of years to soak it in. Fact is that Reid basically tried to "discipline" him into a pure pocket passer. v Fact is that Shanahan's system does utilize bootlegs and rollouts frequently. Fact is that McNabb knows how to play on the run. Fact is that McNabb can put super touch on his deep balls. Fact is that Campbell can't even manage a practiced back shoulder throw while someone "comparable" like Rodgers does it with Driver all the time. Fact is that Shanahan knows how to get something out of QBs who have some mobility and can make plays with their arm. Fact is that McNabb isn't going to be in a one-dimensional offensive philsophy. Implementation may be an issue, but Fat Andy won't be in his way anyone. Fact is that Campbell can't hold it till that very last moment like many great QBs can. Doug Farrar said as much. Fact is that you can deny the truth value of the statements, but self-evident things do not need analysis.
Stuff like Gradkowski>Campbell is low-hanging fruit. I do not want to hear what does and does not tell the "whole story" when you're just flat out lying to me. You can't claim self-evidence as logical support when your arguments are entirely faith based. I'll do you the courtesy of not accepting your failures here as support for my arguments validity, and I wouldn't jump to a conclusion and rule out the fact that there's genius in this move that neither of us can see, but I'm just going to reject most if not all of your premises here as some mix of false and insignificant. I don't consider it significant that McNabb has experience in the Reid WCO, seeing as the only defense for this trade would be that Shanahan is going to use him more optimally. I have no idea what you mean by McNabb "knows how to play on the run". He doesn't complete too many of his deep balls, so perhaps he should take some of that great touch off of it. McNabb isn't Rodgers (that one was particularly easy). Faith in Shanahan, faith in Shanahan, anybody but Campbell, "trust the process". Got it. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Man, I can't believe this shit!!! I thought bringing in Bruce Allen and Shanahan was going to be good for the franchise. But as we all can see nothing has really changed. Bringing in McNabb is a huge mistakes!! We traded away a future player that would have probably gave us 6 or 7 good years for a guy that's clearly out of his prime. More than likely he's probably not going to be with us past 2010. If we offer him an extension then I will be even more piss than I am right now. One way or the other we are out of a draft picks. I have just lost all confidence in Bruce Allen and Shanahan's ability to build a team. The only way this new regime can win my trust back is if they manage to get trade for more picks.

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
I love this move, We finally have a QB that has QUICK FEET IN THE POCKET! Mcnabb's ability to buy time in the pocket is just what we need for our OLINE building.
Cant wait. |

At this point they really just need to offer remedial English. |

He's been above the league in sack rate just twice in his career, and once in a 10+ game season. He's basically no improvement on Campbell in terms of pocket presence. I hear Bruce Gradkowski is available though, should we decide to run the chuck and duck. |
Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
I hate it when I'm out of town with no access to a computer when information like this breaks. I had to find this out via text message. I told my brother April fools was 3 days ago. I can't believe this. I guess I have to change my signature to team Okung now?

Re: McNabb a REDSKIN!
Yeah Kalisto, you really hit on why this is such a bad decision. How dare they not consider your signature in our player personnel discussions.
