It was the same thing about the Lions game with folks in the NFL.com and ESPN forums saying they thought that our line dogged the game to teach RG III a lesson. I posted that thought on the game thread and was asked if I was drunk or was accused of being a toxic presence. Some guys seemed livid, but I can't see any offensive line being destroyed like that with some jobs being on the line unless there was some collusion involved with said parties. Not everything is a conspiracy, but there might be something to that train of thought in this case.
Which guy was dogging it?

The guy trying to make the 53 (Smith)?

The guy who was brought in under a different GM and didn't thrill anyone last year and wants to stay past his current contract (Lavau)?

The guy who is undersized at his position and isn't the prototype the new GM is looking for (Lich)

The rookie who now somehow feels comfortable enough to teach the franchise QB a lesson after switching positions (Scherff)?

The guy who just broke into the starting lineup and was initially the second choice behind a Scherff/Long combo (Moses)?

I'm an idiot, but that's the dumbest idea I've ever heard if you're serious.

You've posted it twice now

Which one of the 5 intentionally let RG3 get hit?

Does anyone think this has to do with what he said at his presser? Maybe the " I just work here" comment didn't go over too well with the folks in the front office.

I just don't get the outrage.
Disorganization starts at the top. We've heard Smoot talk plenty of times about how fucked up the culture is at Redskins part, and it starts with lil Danny.

Yes, I'm with the majority of the people here that think it's very odd that he was cleared early this week, but not now. I'm with the conspiracy theories on this one. I think they want to see how Kirk does with the first string. This allows them to do so without taking a bunch of flak.

It could be. I can see McCloughan as a guy that doesn't take any crap like that.

I guess I have a hard time believing that an independent neurologist would come up with a bogus "he can't play anymore" to do the team's bidding.

If the team is finding a way to get rid of him, honestly I think that may be the best for the team and RG3.

Yes, but ever since McCloughan has come on board, he seems to be doing the right things and is in complete control of the team. And that's a lot of people in the sports media are saying that, not just a yahoo fan like me.

So I don't get why people seems to forget all of the good he has done and go back to the same old tired rant about the owner whenever there is a bump on the road.

I'm not worried about McCloughan. I have 100% trust in that dude right now. It's Danny/Bruce meddling is what I'm worried about. Who do you think is dictating that Robert start? It sure as shit isn't McCloughan. Hiring Scott McC is the only damn thing Danny has ever done worth a shit.

McCloughan. Because he knows he doesn't have the resources to get a new QB and just needs to survive with what he has on the roster while he builds up the rest of the team. And if you don't believe that, go look at the QBs in Seattle in 2010 and 2011 while he was there.

I don't even care how or why at this point. All I know is all this bickering and drama is just beyond tiring. People eat up this drama and then wonder why the media feeds us this shit. Who fucking cares lets just play some football.

What is completely bad is that this is the warm up...if they had a conspiricy to bench RG3...they would have done it at the begiinning of the week to get Cousins reps with the 1's. No one in their right mind can expect a guy with ZERO practices with the ones to have any timing down at all. If anything...the conspiricy would be to set up Cousins to fail, to calm the fan base down to bring RG3 in as the saviour when Cousins throws 2 picks due to poor timing. Cousins throws to a spot on timing based on knowing his receivers. This is not going to be the same as throwing to the 2's. He is likely going to be late on the longer passes due to the speed differences. Check downs should be solid though. Let's watch for that. I actually have far more faith in Cousins' development into a solid pocket game manager aka a weaker armed Brad Johnson.
RG3 is someone who was supposed to revolutionize the game...he did for about 6 games in a row 3 years ago...then he got clobbered, I saw it personally...it sucked....and the drama...what drama! We cut a strong offensive coordinator in favor of a player for heaven sake. The Redskins do best as a TEAM...even when loudmouth Theismann was the QB, there were a half dozen others outspoken on both sides of the ball to balance him out....this team has never been successful with a single star or a potential one...be it Deon Sanders, Bruce Smith, or RG3.
We won superbowls with above average QB's with strong defenses and amazing Olines.
SCREW the QB position!!.
We need a game manager...that is all.
I want a TEAM....not a savior!! and a coach who inspires and commands respect.
The reality is ....we dont have any of these right now....except...I really do think Cousins could be a keeper...but we shall see tomorrow when they throw him to the dogs in a very difficult situation with a weak still developing line.
One thing I trust...our new GM....in 3 years, this team will look far different, unless Danny screws it up or McG goes back to the bottle.

This is definitely pretty nuts, but I gotta keep up my broken record message. It doesn't matter who plays QB, none of them are good.

Amen. I don't give a fuck at this point who plays QB. Hell, run a wishbone for all I care. Just play some football and win some games.

Football is a TEAM sport.
11 at a time. 22 starters. No Heros.
Football is a game of war, obtaining territory to achieve a goal by force.
There is no room for stars. Let those willing to sacrifice themselves for the whole rise up.
The TEAM is what football is about.
We should remove names from jerseys, ban dancing, first down gestures, etc.
Football should be like rugby. Beat the crap out of each other and let the strongest win.
At least when you lose something like that, you have respect.

I don't care if we go 0-16, bring back the hogs and the biggest, meanest bastards in the NFL...we just need 5 O linemen and 3 Dlinemen that scare the crap out of the world. With that...I can live as a fan with respect!
