Security Matters. Meaningful background checks are difficult to obtain for refugees admitted from countries without reliable government records. Common criminals, war criminals, international fugitives, and terrorists have all used the USRAP and its related asylum provisions for entry into the United States. Bribery of U.N. officials is commonly reported among those attempting to secure refugee admission to the United States. Report: Major Problems with U.S. Refugee Resettlement Program Two major terrorism incidents on American soil are directly connected to the refugee program. The Somali Christmas Tree bomber was a resettled refugee in Portland, Oregon, while the Boston bomber family was granted asylum in the U.S. and received protection and care under the 1980 Refugee Act. There is much....information availaale as to problems with the plan. Most specifically, information is just not available in any reliable fashion in these...terrorist friendly countires. |

The CIS is partnered with John Tanton founder of FAIR also a well know white surpremaist. His and their position isn't based on facts, it is based on fear and bigotry. The Canadian Press is an ultra right wing rag that is so biased it was printing birther crap as little as a couple years ago. They also are climate change deniers and push creationism. They also have a habit of printing the home addresses of people they don't agree with so right wing nuts can harass them at home. No responsible media source would ever do this. |
Re: Republican nominee for President
It takes over a year for them to seek asylum in this country. Frankly I am more concerned about U.S. citizens who leave and then comeback with spouses or those representing "American" interests such as oil and mining exploration that have free range and can come and go as they please no questions asked other than "Are you trying to bring fruit into the country?"
Furthermore are you really going to pin those two incidents on the refugee program? In the Oregon incident it was a "planned" attack by our government i.e. they coaxed him to do it in a sting despite years of pleas from the parents asking the government for help for fear their son was going to be radicalized. In the Boston bombing incident the radicalization occurred once in our borders not prior. To me the problem needs to be addressed on our home soil not from a mass ban of 20% of the world's population and a federal registration program. |
Re: Republican nominee for President
There are many high ranking US officials that make similar points as to the many weak points of our current vetting system, but a good idea can be found from FBI director, Chairman Homeland Security committee and an apparent (who is by far the most entertaining) Syrian leader here in the states.
I know what you thinking, they're probably prejudiced sources and known White Supremists......lol Third World countries, particularly places like Syria, do not have the network of information the United States has.” “In Syria, there’s no such thing. So when they tell you that [the refugees] are vetted, are you out of your mind?” he said...classic And BTW...if you have a point make it. That chickenshit racism bullshit is....tired Syrian community leader: ISIS is already in America | New York Post “You can go to the Syrian government today and say to them, ‘I need a piece of paper that says I’m Tony Caterpillar.’ And they give it to you,” he said. “These are not forged documents. These are written out by a government employee who needs money, whose family has no food.” Succar, 57, who immigrated to the United States when he was 10, also noted that “Third World countries, particularly places like Syria, do not have the network of information the United States has.” “In Syria, there’s no such thing. So when they tell you that [the refugees] are vetted, are you out of your mind?” he said. How do Syrian refugees get into the U.S.? - CNNPolitics.com FBI Director James Comey hit on the issue at a congressional hearing last month, when he told lawmakers, "If someone has never made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interest reflected in our database, we can query our database until the cows come home, but there will be nothing show up because we have no record of them." This particularly comes into play when trying to evaluate an applicant's criminal history. "In terms of criminal history, we do the best we can with the resources that we have," one senior administration official said. https://pjmedia.com/blog/homeland-security-chairman-if-vetting-of-syrian-refugees-was-better-id-support-bringing-more The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said he'd be supportive of bringing in more Syrian refugees if there was a proper vetting process, but he fears a "reckless and dangerous policy" taking shape. |

Has put in place reforms that have restricted civil liberties across the country. Russia is back in the business of repressing minorities as well. And we all know about Ukraine, Crimeana and Syria. |

At the same time, a group of preschoolers was also visiting the botanical garden for a field trip. According to the Des Moines Register, Fiorina “headed straight for a group of giggling 4- and 5-year-olds” when she first arrived at the botanical garden. She reportedly ushered them toward the makeshift stage set up for the anti-abortion event — which featured a large poster of a fetus — without asking permission for the children to sit with her. |

Powell and Rice used a personal server as well. besides, there is no info that her personal server was hacked .. unlike all of the fed server hacks. 2. new news from the article - as best i can infer, it seems there may be a correlation with state dept contracts and people who donated to a clinton charity foundation? vague at this point. ill wait to hear more. second article: just complete trashy political attack. i listened to hannity's radio show yesterday and he was hammering home the "point" that hillary clinton is satan who cant be trusted and wants to "destroy" the women who made allegations against billy in the 70's ........ just your typical election time political attacks imo. going back in the past and make huge stretches to connect something to a running mate. can we really blame obama for palin's son punching his wife and putting a gun to his head? |

Re: Republican nominee for President
Old News?
Translation: ongoing investigation involving 100 FBI agents? Probably nothing....... And.....it damn sure is trashy. There are woman coming out of the woodwork naming...Good ol' Bill for assaulting them and apparently Good ol' Hill has been covering it for him for lo' these.......many years Not exactly a recipe for CIC..... Fox News is told that about 100 special agents assigned to the investigations also were asked to sign non-disclosure agreements, with as many as 50 additional agents on “temporary duty assignment,” or TDY. The request to sign a new NDA could reflect that agents are handling the highly classified material in the emails, or serve as a reminder not to leak about the case, or both. "The pressure on the lead agents is brutal," a second source said. "Think of it like a military operation, you might need tanks called in along with infantry." Separately, a former high-ranking State Department official emphasized to Fox News that Clinton’s deliberate non-use of her government email address may be increasingly “significant.” “It is virtually automatic when one comes on board at the State Department to be assigned an email address,” the source said. “It would have taken an affirmative act not to have one assigned ... and it would also mean it was all planned out before she took office. This certainly raises questions about the so-called legal advice she claimed to have received from inside the State Department that what she was doing was proper." |
Re: Republican nominee for President
you're basically equating agents investigating her with proof of guilt.
there very well be some shady sh*t going on there, but until the investigation release the results, it's just premature speculation. of course fox news blowhards are going to blow hard. it's all they know how to do. |
Re: Republican nominee for President
If you had over 100 FBI agents investigating you, would you have reason to worry? Would it be unreasonable to assume 100+ FUCKIN FBI AGENTS is reason for serious concern? lol
AND did Fox somehow distort the report? Did they lie? If not for what possible purpose do you bring it up? Is that a defense of some sort in your mind? |
Re: Republican nominee for President
did i say it wasn't reason for concern? did i say fox lied? did i say that was some sort of defense?
once we see the results we'll know the scope. why is my refusal to assume absolute guilt before seeing the actual facts such a problem for you that you feel the need to respond emotionally? |
Re: Republican nominee for President
You....assume a lot. And if you think the FBI would waste that type of manpower on innocence, well that makes you something else as well.
|
Re: Republican nominee for President
You....assume a lot.
pot, kettle, black. if i accuse you of murder, you're obviously guilty right? talk about a rush to judgement. all i said is i'll wait to see the extent of what they find before wildly speculating on speculation. that means i must be a communist, right? |

Why not? They have a responsibility to get it right no matter guilt or innocence. The number of agents has nothing to do with it. It has more to do with being damn sure they get their report correct due to who they are investigating. |

Not wanting a ton of discussion on this, but does anyone personally know a Trump supporter? He's high in the polls, but it's like people don't want to admit they support him. EVERY ONE I talk to (working at an extremely conservative University) thinks he's fucking nuts. By now, I would have thought I'd have seen a sticker, a shirt, a hat, but nothing. Anyone met one? If so, did they give any rational reason as to why?
