He starts by taking a jab at the FO and Shanny ( the people responsible for bringing in the talent), and ends by saying if we lose next week Shanny is hardly validating that he is heading in the rite direction. Im surprised you think that sums things up so well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's like you don't believe you own words. We will win no more then 8 games this year. Most likely less... We have a young team, and are missing some big pieces. You guys don't seem to realize that it was less then 5 years ago we had a roster full of players who don't even see the field anymore and we paid them enough money to own a island.
But we are in year 3 ? we should of been young year one or atleast half of that and year 2 should of been improved. We jjust flat out made mistakes . The best move in shanny era. Morris-RG3-Kerrigan....And Trent Williams. thats about it. And maybe Garcon if he was healthy. |

There is other NFL teams besides us trying to go after the same players. I'm not defending Shanny. I'm just saying as fans.. A lot of you are hypocritical. We wont make the playoffs this year, but if we did.. I would enjoy bumping some of these threads just to look back at the LAWL's. |

I wouldn't give up on any of those guys either. And Riley is a very good LBer.

Next week is a crucial game no doubt, I think if we want any real chance of being in the wildcard race we have to beat Carolina and go into the bye at 4-5 with some momentum. |

Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread
RG3 cant do it all by himself. He was throwing great balls and his terrible WRs just cant catch them. This team needs lots of help at every position except QB as the Steelers manhandled them. Also Meangelo Hall should never play another game as a Redskin again.

Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread
I think what's even more frustrating is what's the plan to get better? We don't have any first rounders the next two years and we already know the free agent route doesn't really work. We're really going to have to hit in the draft and I'm not so sure I trust our front office in that area.

Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread
This team has been badly broken for over a decade and its not going to be fixed in 3 or 4 years. The constant coach changes keep resetting the clock so getting rid of Shanny and bringing in a new coach/system IMO resets the clock back to 0. There is no way Shanny or any other coach gets this team consistently competitive until 2015 at the earliest.

Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread
I watched the entire game today. I didn't like what I saw one bit. I didn't expect the Redskins to beat the Steelers but I did expect a better effort. I saw a team that wasn't motivated and a beaten team that wasn't trying to win. Leonard Hankerson needs to be benched. He dropped too many passes today. The wide receivers were the reason why RG3 was so inaccurate today, namely Hankerson. Both Paulsen and Niles Paul did a good job catching the ball. The offensive line allowed way too much penetration.

It's the truth. We took an azz kickin today that "Bully Beatdown" can't match. No pass rush, no coverage, no catches, no win. |

Relax chief, I'm not saying they'll get there. If they want to have any sort of shot they need to get to 4-5 heading into the bye. |
Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread
Our focus going into the offseason should be defense
- secondary - NT - LB - TE - WR - OL I think this team is in good shape when all the pieces are healthy and in place but we need to wipe out our 2ndary with the exception of Wilso. I would keep Josh only as 3rd CB in the nickel. |

address secondary in the draft and fill in holes with bandaids from free agency but yeah I don't expect this wish list done by spring. HTTR |
Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread
I hope Minnifield heals and is healthy enough to start next year. Skins really need him.
|
Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread
I'm not sure Minnifield will be ready to start, but I do expect him (and Bernstine) to get significant playing time. Then again, I expected Brandyn Thompson to get PT this year, so....
... does anyone know why Hall went crazy? What set him off? I watched the replay, didn't really see anything??
Looked to me like Hall was channeling the frustrations of an entire team and lost it. He got taken to the ground by a blocking WR and thought he should have got a holding call, I'd guess. Composure is key but if you feel like the refs are blatantly ignoring things (like a multitude of holds) then how long do you stay quiet? He can afford the fine but we can't afford the loss of of a player for a 'X' game ban. |
Re: Steelers 27 Skins 12 post game thread

He sees an entire defense in the wrong scheme, and players lined up out of position series after series, game after game. He was playing gutsy prior to the flip out. He tackled Heath single-handed...a guy who outweighs him by what, 85 lbs? I don't like that he lost it, but as Chris Rock would say, "I understand" ;) |

If you break down the NFC 4-5 will put us rite in the thick of it and we beat TB and Minn head to head. You got atlanta, giants, chicago, and sanfran. Than u got GB as a wildcard. Who is the other wildcard? Dallas? Philly? Arizona? Detroit? Seattle? All in our boat man. The funny thing is we are completely in the playoff picture rite now. Lol.
