The giants love to make drama

Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
I'm still rooting for "meteor strike", but a close game would make better viewing. I guess the home team winning that game would be better for us.

Good ol' meteor lol. Many were counting the Giants among the NFC's elite teams but look at them now. Do you think Giants fans are debating whether Coughlin needs to go because his team blew a 23-0 lead? Yes I'm aware they're currently leading the Cowboys. |

I know it's not a perfect comparison, but if we ignore past history and just focus on the Giants this season, do you fire him after blowing a 23-0 lead? Isn't that inexcusable? And the sign of a bad coached team, playing lax after taking a big lead? I realize this will probably get wiped out by the "he's won 2 SB's, therefore he could do everything short of having an 0-16 season before getting fired" crowd, but I'm just saying. I bet you somewhere there is a Giants fan crying about how Coughlin is done. Before they won their first SB under Coughlin I seriously doubted anyone believed they would ever get there, let alone win one against the 18-0 Pats. We can sit here and debate whether or not we're doomed under Shanny until the end of time, but I bet you nobody here on these boards really has a clue what kind of work Shanny puts in. Save SS, who probably knows a lot more about the rest of us about what goes on behind the scenes. |

Would love to see them pile more drama on top of the Bradshaw soap opera, and any other Midget players acting like divas, though. lol.

Witten is having a monster day.

Wow Dez Bryant, wait was he out??
Wow Antonio Bryant, wait was he out??
Wait I thought that was Dez Bryant? One hell of a catch, but it looks like his hand touched out of bounds. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
Yeah goof on my part, Dez.

S/N I love the zoomed in slow-mo replay Fox has used twice in these last couple minutes. The picture isn't the clearest but it's good enough to get a clear idea. First with the Stevie Brown pick and now with the Dez Bryant non-catch. |
so has shanahan
I know that and I'm not a shanny hater |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
great last effort pass by romo, about 5 yards out the back of the endzone.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
man that last 3 mins went on for hours...just thrilled the Boys got beat...again
man that last 3 mins went on for hours...just thrilled the Boys got beat...again
With another not-quite-good-enough performance by Romo and Co., is it fair to say they've broken more Cowboys hearts than anyone since Joe Gibbs?

Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
It is so uplifting when the Cowboys lose. By the way, outside the Giants, the NFC East are putting up a stinker this season.

I think the fat lady is singing her swan song in Philly. It's nice to see the climax of 14 years of mostly success, all for nothing. And it's always nice to see the Cowboys come back from 23-0, only to lose again. The Giants are unpredictable as always though. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
There is some salvation in watching:
1) Dez catch what looked like the Go ahead in the closing seconds....but WAIT...OH S... Dez sooo sorry....Soooo sorry Cowboy fans 2) I bet that really is disappointing...JUST when you thought you had snatched victory... 3) BTW....Jerra' I guess that much publicized Home Ass kickin' you called some weeks ago to be delivered on the Giants will have to wait for next year? Well, I guess the day wasn't a total loss........HTTR |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
I love how Dez is always so close to greatness, but he just can't get there.
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
A single unselfish failure by the erstwhile Dez Bryant has helped to lift my otherwise.....Black mood.

I don't know what you're "ahhh, no"ing? My whole point that I was trying to make is that my fellow fanbase members are crazy. Do I think Coughlin should be fired? Hell no lol. |

Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
Man wish my J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets had made a move for Manning
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 8 Style
I was always a bit surprised at those that doubted Manning in the offseason. I know he was coming off a pretty serious injury situation, but I felt that he wouldn't try to play if he wasn't 100% sure that he could play at a pretty high level. He'll have the Broncos in a serious SB chase.

Yeah how about the Not-Nationals winning the World Series! And Matty, I'm with you on Peyton and the Broncos. I've been saying since the start of the year that if the Broncos could go to the 2nd round of the playoffs last year with Tebow, imagine how far they could go with Manning... This team, no matter how far down they are, find a way to comeback (maybe not completely, but definitely make the game close). Now they'll cruise right to the playoffs and get a second shot at New England and Houston. |
