If we lose this weekend, everyone on a one year deal and anyone who on a contract likely to get cut (Payne) in the offseason…I’m trying to trade. Try to stack picks.

Ertz, Lattimore (if we pay most the money for this year) Payne, would all have interest.

I’m all 4 it but at 3-6; would the team be convinced to trade players? Or do they think they can turn things around.

The problem with this years schedule is that we finish with 4 divisional games. And while it's doubtful we beat the Eagles or Cowboys at this stage, the Giants are beatable and Denver showed how beatable the Cowboys are. So, lets say we go into those last 4 games at 6-7. Who's to say that right now winning those 4 games wouldn't win us the division? Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? hell no.

If our HC and GM were to turn around to ownership and say we're giving up on the season at 3-5 so selling off what we can, I doubt they'd have a job at the end of the season. Just don't see a fire sale happening.

Extending Terry Mclaurin was the biggest fucking mistake this front office made in the off-season. Man that was boneheaded looking at it now. Hopefully they'll learn a valuable lesson from this.

The mistake was not doing it early so he'd be in camp and in good spirits, ready to play and game fit. If we hadn't re-signed him and he'd held out, we'd be quite a degree worse off right now.

The other mistake was not better addressing WR in FA (even the draft?). Brown was a risk hanging #3 WR on, McCaffrey is looking solid as a #2/3, but was still something of an unknown, and Lane is probably going to work out well eventually, but may never be better than #3. We needed a player to push and complement Deebo and Scary.

OTOH with so many holes still to fill it's hard to say we could have done much better than we did, with what we had. Deebo wasn't a mistake, but Lattimore looks like he was. Those draft picks would have been useful in the spring in filling some gaps, probably WR and secondary. I suspect AP is regretting his own decision there.

Lol, this is 100% on the FO. They waited until toward the end of the training camp to negotiate contract with McLaurin. McLaurin said that there was little to no communication between his agent and the FO throughout the summer. If they had worked on the contract prior to the training camp, there's no doubt it would allow McLaurin to participate in the training camp to get his body into football shape.

Sorry but Terry and his agents delusional demands were 100% the problem. In the end he ended up getting a very team friendly deal.

Will you fucking mother fuckers stop with this shit. It's about the dumbest fucking take one can have. They drafted a WR, they traded and got Deebo while having Terry on the roster. That's plenty. You can't have 109873497349734972439762 WRs just in case of injuries. If Higgins/Chase went down right now on the Bengals, you think their fans would be screaming about how they did nothing to address WR? Yeah, it would be a STUPID fucking thought.

Defense. I want you to repeat this fucking word 1,000 times and that's the ONLY thing that should be talked about from now until the draft. You can't always account for injuries, you can account for shitty talent.

We need to be sellers on Tuesday. Yeah, we probably won’t get much but pick up whatever we can.

We don't have any real assets that anybody wants besides our QB. I doubt we could even ship off Terry at this point. That contract is an albatross and he's fucking injured the entire year so far. We're kinda fucked. Peters better not be shipping off any draft picks because we need as many as we can. If anything, he needs to be trading down from our spot, which will no doubt be in the top 10.

I'll excuse the abuse, given the current situation, but you're not reading what I wrote. I'm not talking about taking anything from addressing the D, they needed to address multiple areas of the team. I'm talking about going into he offseason with the view that Brown was our #3 WR and sticking with that. He's not been available, especially a lot of last year. We're now effectively signing guys off the street not to refill the WR room, but to play at #2 and #3. Having a dependable #3, especially as they didn't know where negotiation's with Scary would end up, was essential and AP dropped the ball (pun intended).

Yes D is P1, P2 and P3 because it wasn't addressed last year. But JD5 needs guys to throw to (and to be on the field himself). And if Sinnott isn't what they hoped he'd be, we need a pass catching TE too. if we rebuild the D and leave the O as is, we're no better off. It all needs looking at.

I agree

Sinnot, McCaffery and Lane have been bad as receivers. That’s on Peters and Coaching.
