Re: TO in Washington?
I don't either TO or his "mini me" Mitchel. lets just work on coaching up McCants to play better, give the kid a chance.
TO made that eagles receiving core 100% tougher and gave the team alot more confidence so I do feel he got the eagles over the hump
I also don't recall Pinkston being very tough whatsoever. I know everyone wants to believe that TO was the specific reason the Eagles made the playoffs. I could see the logic if the Eagles were a wildcard team the year before and THEN made it to the Super Bowl. They've been on the verge for years now and it wasn't TO that was essential to the NFC Championship victory that sent them to the Super Bowl. It just seems like people assume that TO was the end-all reason the Eagles made the Super Bowl. We have to remember that no player is bigger than the team. |

I think this whole thing is just great. No matter how this issue is resolved the Eagles are going to suffer. The end of the Eagles, the start of the Redskins. All Hail to the Washington Redskins. |
Re: TO in Washington?
I won't deny that he's one of the best receivers in the league. Again, I have a hard time believing he is a major reason when the team minus TO made it to the NFC championship for years in a row.
Basically adding TO made the Eagles blow people out, rather than beating them by a touchdown or two. |

It was a catch he could have made for some long yards. |
Re: TO in Washington?
how should i say this. if he gave up a lot of yards not to get hit, then i think he's a pretty good player just because he wasn't hurting the skins.

Re: TO in Washington?
U know losing in the division championship game, wasn't it like 3 times in a row, had to effect their minds. They probraly felt like the old Bills who always got to the superbowl. But then TO came who said put it in my hands I'll get you over the hump and when they started blowing teams out they started feeling good about themselves. So when he got hurt the confidence was still high enough to get them over the hump. Also was the help of a certaint Dend named Kearse

Re: TO in Washington?
I think it'd be hilarious if they put Mr. Owen's ass in NFL Europe. He'd eventually be pelted to death by brautwurst or something. Anyone who wastes good oppurtunities to display their talent, as such, just to boost their own ego is an awful, awful jackass.

Re: TO in Washington?
I think To is the best receiver in the league, then Moss. BUt they are the WORST team players. Look at how he is belittling McNabb... McNabb is the face of the Eagles, the reason that they have been so dominant. TO is just a punk that loves to be in the spot light. I would rather have Tory Holt or Marvin Harrison any day than those other Clowns...

Agreed. |
Re: TO in Washington?
i think moss is gonna have more receptions for more yards when the eagles play the raiders next season. as for the skins, we already handled moss once this season, we can handle him again.

Re: TO in Washington?
TO is the hardest locker room worker, and he gives his all on the field, but he's much more of an attention whore than Moss. Moss is more talented and naturally gifted. Moss is faster, has better hands, a better vertical, and routes are similar.
If I could have any receiver, I'd take Chad Johnson. He's a "Bad Boy", but not in the same sense. |
Re: TO in Washington?
I would take Torry Holt any day of the week... HE is fast, has soft hands, runs perfect routes, and has learned from one of the best... He doesn't get in trouble and isn't an attention whore. He leaves it all on the field and if he hadn't had Bruce on the same team he would have had numbers that rival TO nad Moss. Neither one of those guys had a a receivr on the other side of them like Bruce. TO had Rice after his prime, but Bruce was a very good receiver early in Torry Holt's career and still is a pretty good receiver.

Re: TO in Washington?
I would just be happy if the redskins had a WR with the talent to be a #1, I will then worry about his attitude. Beggars can't be choosers...
