The way he's been struggling lately, maybe Tryon's best shot is to make a name for himself as a returner on teams
Sad to see him sliding down the depth chart, but if he ain't gettin' it done. ....and he's not even listed on the depth chart as a returner. I didn't see him get any reps with the punt return guys. He better make some sort of positive impression tomorrow night.

Tryon in punt return drills (Gano kicking on this side of field...Bidwell had another group): |

Perhaps he should look into Ice Dancing after he is cut |
Re: Brandon Banks
he can probably avoid 98% of the kill-type shots
Essentially if he was 4 inches taller and weighed 30 lbs more he is a top 3 draft pick.
2 points: You don't avoid kill shots returning kicks....you take them more than almost any other position...due to the 40 yard head of steam bearing down on your freakin' head. You think if he was 5'11" and 185 he'd be the 3rd pick in the draft just because he's fast?....i don't think so...perhaps he would be a mid rounder if he were a different size. The dude only had 1 TD and 700 yards last year as a reciever. Imagine this guy as a wideout...a 200 lb corner would literally throw him like a little girl off the line...I really dont see why he is wasting a NFL spot...this guy is dead meat...and it's a bit embarrasing to have a guy smaller than a 8th grader on our team...the guy is gunna get killed out there. |
Re: Brandon Banks
If the WR spot is still an issue, and it was obvious the Skins were not going to pick up T.O., why don't they look at Keyshawn Johnson? I just saw him on ESPN and wondered why they don't try to offer him a decent contract. I mean it can't be age cause they have Galloway. lol.

Players age at different rates, that rate is dependent on their offseason regiment. |
Players age at different rates, that rate is dependent on their offseason regiment.
Is there any evidence that suggests that offseason regiment is a meaningful variable in age decline?
Intuitively, it probably matters, but Galloway has declined pretty far in the last two seasons despite his best efforts to keep himself in top football shape. |

But Wideout?...if your game is based on speed, good luck...only one speed player that I know of stayed fast though out all the years was Darrel Green, and I honesly think that that was a legitamate gift from God. |

He's not that dumb in that he'd be blabbering out quotes like Galloway still being able to churn out a 4.4 40 yard dash. Big ego yes(Nick Sundberg), but utterly stupid no. |
Re: Brandon Banks
Since Banks is going to be our Superman....lol. I accidently came across this while looking up wallpapers.....
Google: Megan Fox as Superwomen. oh my god. I loved her in Transformers but she's hot in this outfit. |

Not only has his football skills diminished, but his appearance as well. This little gem was while he was getting water with his helmet off. Guess the camera guy caught him off guard. I'm sure he doesn't want people to see him like this.... [IMG][/IMG] |
His weight is an issue right now but then again he did shit on Oklahoma twice and it doesn't get bigger than those beef jerks. You don't put up the numbers he did without playing big.
like I said the college game is a lot more "wide open" |
For Friday, right now Buchanon is penciled in as the regular season starting punt returner
that's kind of what confused me.. like why would he tweet about it if it was in a likely shortened practice the day before a game? though Shanahan came through saying that they know what Buchanon brings to the return game I'm guessing that Banks starts at PR |

I am only responding to the question if workouts can stop father time...it is rare. I don't personally have a negative opinioin of Galloway. I haven't seen him. If the guy is still fast, he is a legit #2 as any other on the roster I don't give a crap how old or ugly he is. He doesn't even have to catch a pass as long as he draws coverage away from the other receivers...it would be nice if he could catch a few too. But that Banks kid is a wimp...we are wasting a roster space on him...if I were the Skins, I'd either bring in another fast receiver or another kicker in his spot. |
