Bad signing. I wish everyone would just agree to stay away from players who've been arrested for: DUI, Drug Possession/Use or Violence Against Women. Also, regarding the fight with the tight end, I seem to remember another questionable character at wr that was involved in practice field fight: Michael Westbrook. Baaaaad signing.

What's the rap on James Hardy? I haven't seen anything on this site, or elsewhere, about his being a problem.

Hardy was arrested for a domestic situation and suspended 2 games... the charges were dropped

I like this pickup... this guy has been to a pro bowl and since had a few injury problems... if he can stay healthy for us he can be a game changer with his world class speed. Can you imagine trying to cover Santana Moss on one side with 4.31 speed and Mathis with 4.1 speed? This will assure the safeties don't sit on Cooley, Randle-El and maybe Jordy Nelson underneath...

The charges against him were dropped so it's a non-issue for me (Innocent until proven guilty). And I'm not going to hold players on my favorite team to standards that our president can't uphold (DUI)

I think it’s “innocent when a woman found by police with red marks on her neck decides like many victims that she’s too frightened to cut ties with someone she’s dependent upon drops the charges”, you mean.

Gee whiz, how unfair!!! How could they possibly suspend him when the charges were dropped? What happened to "innocent until....", no, nevermind.

Do you really think the Skins would sign Mathis or any other "character risk" without sitting down and having them explain what happened with any questionable incidents? No offense buddy but I'm going with with their opinion over yours.

he's hella fast and has a lot of upside.... but he also straggles his girlfriend, so...

I mean, i guess he had to land somewhere, but besides some punt return stuff, i'm not sure it's really worth it.

There was no opinion expressed in that statement only a response to your incredibly naive assertion that simply “innocent until proven guilty” means something didn’t actually happen.

Now on to opinion, I don’t think this administration as it is currently constructed would value character over talent. Some people don’t seem to think character is an issue, I do.

Judging by every response you’ve made on this type of issue so far, you read what you want to read, never respond to valid contradictory points made, so I guess you will go on seeing only what you want to see.

No offense, buddy.
"Could it be that the vague rumors of Ladell Betts being on the block are true?

If Betts were traded, and Rock was shifted to Clinton Portis' primary backup, then I could see the need for a new kick returner.

To me, it has to be either that, or, that the Redskins clearly just want someone to push Rock Cartwright to improve even more.

Stay tuned..."
Scout.com: Redskins Sign WR Jerome Mathis
This is wishfull thinking....
This guy is a punt returner...and rock doesnt return punts.
There is really no sense in this other than a potential speed demon to back up Moss.

It does suggest that Randel El can be protected by staying on offense too.
Both have had injury problems.

If they are worried about 2 deep depth for little WR's ....odds are, they are going to want to be 2 deep at big WR's....Mix would be a decent depth guy.

I dont believe it would be wise to trade Betts...he is far better than Rock could ever be....Free agency proved that this is not a unique opinion.

Regarding him being a scumbag....I really dont like that either.
