Re: Your favorite city, and why.
Went to McDoogal's which was out in the county, but probably the best "gentlemen's establishment" I've ever been to.
We then hung out down near the Power Plant and the Block. |
Re: Your favorite city, and why.
I go to conferences in Baltimore a lot and I go with a crew of guys who don't go REALLY for the conference but more for the incredible amounts of drinking that ensue.
I'm biased, but Washington D.C. is the greatest city. I've lived in L.A., lived in San Diego, travelled abroad and there's no place like home.
D.C. has everything. Character, history, musuems, diversity, politics, sports, and yes, even crime! Adams Morgan, Georgetown, Cleveland Park, Dupont Circle, The Hill, Spring Valley, Uptown and Downtown. I love the creeps on the Metro that refuse to stand to the right, I love Cherry Blossoms in the spring, and even those muggy August summer days.
I get that. I grew up there. Although, I have not lived there in a long time and have lived many other places since. There is....a......certain buzz about D.C. It's all the things you mentioned, and maybe because it's the most powerful city on earth? |

Can't argue with that. I miss Boston a lot, but can't afford the absolutely crazy real estate! |
Re: Your favorite city, and why.
San Diego: my second favorite sports team of the Padres, the women, and it's a very clean area (atleast where I once lived). Plus the 2 best zoo's in the entire country, sea world, and within driving distance of disney land and six flags.

Re: Your favorite city, and why.
I've travelled quite a bit over the last four years or so and my favorite place on a decent and varied list was actually Cleveland, Ohio. It was like taking the wayback machine to 1958. Nice people. Good public golf courses. And the accent is like an exaggerated Dan Akroyd from The Blues Brothers.
