If you put both of these players in say... Arizona -- what do you think each would do. That's the true test of whos a better QB.

I think brady would do better in arizona, i feel like he's less of a statue and moves about the pocket better than manning. I feel like brady can make more out of nothing than manning for some reason.

Arizona is a bad team to use, bc they have good recievers. Let's say put both on the Raiders, and see who does the best.

This is Montana Marino all over again...Brady is on a better team...I would take Peyton. If Peyton had New Englands defense all these years he would have a Super Bowl.

I would take Peyton, the guy is a machine. I mean people make the argument that because of his receivers Brady is clearly superior, but Montana is regarded as being the best QB ever and having the greatest WR duo of all time has never been a knock on him. I think if Peyton had WR's like Brady has it wouldn't hurt him much, he would adapt to that. I think if Peyton had Belichick as his HC and a defense he would have a had similar success to Brady if not more.
the one thing that separates the two QB's is the mental strength of Brady, and lack their of in peyton.
That is a great point. Manning through out his career, especially in college, has had the reputation that he can not win the big game. He did not handle presure situations well. He won his first playoff game of his career last year. He has been in the league how long???

Another thing Brady does better than any other QB in the NFL is he does a great job of sensing the rush, even behind him. Brady is a good at eluding that pass rush. he does not get sacked often.

The rule changes have really helped Manning. A past knock on Manning was if you got to him early and hit him hard it made him play poorly. But now with all these shitty rules you can't even breath on a QB, his play has really taken off this year.
Manning really does look strong this year.

Oh, so he won his first playoff game the year before? Either way his record in big games is not very good.

He one his first playoff game in 2003.

So he won his first playoff game in his sixth season in the NFL and has a grand total of 3 playoff wins in 9 season? Not very strong.

Tom Brady's career playoff record is 10-1 and three superbowls wins?
Strong!

True Brady has a very impressive playoff record, but he didn't carry those teams, he certainly helped them win though and contributed to it a lot. But he had great teams to help him, great coaches, and a kicker who Tom owes a good chunk of his success to. Things Peyton has not had. They are both great QB's but I fear Peyton going against my defense more than any other QB in the NFL.

I'd argue if the Raiders would have won that game, the Patriots never go on their run.

Re: Brady or Manning?

the kicker winning those games for brady is BS, brady is the one that gets them down the field in under 2 minutes every frickin year. Viniatieri or however u spell it has not had to make any of those kicks over 40 yards. Brady puts him in position to succeed. Vandjerjet, or however you spell it missed a 45 yarder last year, that's a tougher kick than adam has had to make in the playoffs, all attributable to brady being more efficient.
