Re: Cap Casualties in offseason
Wasn't Antonio Pierce saying the same stuff at this time last year? How he loved being a Redskin and wanted to remain a Redskin? I'm not necessarily saying it's the same situation this time around. I just tend to be sort of skeptical when players bring the fans into their "negotiatons" with management. Almost like we're hostages. Player X says how much he loves the fans and the city and suddenly the team is in public relations crisis mode.
Good point, but the difference with LaVar is that his contract dispute has been resolved and he still says that he wants to be a Redskin. Plus, he has hinted that he might not want to play football if he is not playing for the Redskins. I give Arrington the benefit of the doubt and believe that he genuinely loves this team. That is what hurts me; even though he's made some mistakes (i.e. hiring the Postons as agents and making those statements to the WT) he loves the team but he might not be here next season. |

But honestly, do you believe that if he had a phat offer from say the Chargers he would rather retire than take it? |
