When a team wins 3 games there should be competition everywhere. RG3 should be the starter, but he should also have to prove that he's the best player. If I were Gruden I would make it uncomfortable for everyone.
If Snyder did in fact say this, and that's a big if, then you're correct...same old same old.
This. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
I do not think that Dalton is garbage. What he has done the last few years has been impressive.
But his skillset is not that of RGIII, making his ceiling much lower. Dalton may be as good now as he will ever be. RGIII has lots of room for growth.
Let's hope! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
true Zimmer is a better coordinator I don't think he's a better head coach candidate.
here's hoping the skins see qualities in Gruden you don't see just from the cordinator side of things.
Look at Norv Turner or Wade Phillips. Great coordinators; shitty head coaches. |

I'm quite positive he wouldn't sacrifice his career for a coach who probably will never be a head coach again in the NFL. If Schefter is reporting something, it's something from a legit source. Legit source being key here, and I doubt that source is any former coaches that have no knowledge on the situation. |
Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins
It appears his sources were wrong this time, because this article/rumor has been denied all over the internet. I guess we have three options.
1. His source was wrong. 2. His source was right and both Redskins and 49ers are wrong 3. His source wasn’t very accurate and he reported it anyway. If its number three, why would he do this? |

Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins
According to the Redskins and 49ers official statements, that didn't happen.
#stopbelievingeverythingyouhear
According to my internet browser, this is not Twitter. Nice, we have ONE person who voted no. HailGreen28. Did everyone else see this on the team blog? Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins
As for the rumor that the interviews of the 49'er coaches were not cancelled, I DON'T CARE! True or false, it's nothing more than gossip. When did the NFL become TMV, anyway?

Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins
OMG . . . can you believe the "Washington Team," didn't even call the 9'ers back to let them know . . . it's like tots rude! Snyder is like the NFL's #1 frienemy!
And that tie Bruce was wearing at the press conference . . . hello 1990's much? |
Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins
980 saying Bobby Turner is out?
|
Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins
Seems like Turner would be one we'd want to keep. Our running game was the ONE bright spot on the team last year.
Then again, he was also Shanahan's RB coach in Denver so maybe it's just a full purge of anyone close to Shanahan. |
Re: Jay Gruden hired as head coach of the Redskins
Interesting read about how Gruden likes to fill out the offensive roster:
