Very strong delivery from Trump. When he shouts it comes across energetic and strong. When Hillary shouts she comes across like a grandmother scolding me for spoiling my appetite.

Saying true numbers is now fear mongering? Have u seen Baltimore's murder rate? Have you watched the world news? Do you honestly believe this world is a safer place then 8 years ago? 4 years ago?

Seriously! Unbelievable and disappointing Matty. How can this country expect to move forward when it cannot even be stated that violence is getting worse. I mean its just self evident. Walk down a street in Baltimore and have a man whisper "help me" and look up and see 4 youths walking in a predatory manner past your niece nephew and then try to feed me that load of bull.

No. I don't like the dismissal of the deaths of THOUSANDS of inner city Americans by couching numbers in am aggregate that masks the reality of our cities. The spike is even noted in your link.

A spike is not a trend. And sorry, the numbers show we are safer now than 4 or 8 years ago. We're not on the brink of collapse like Trump wants you to think.

In the 18 months of the FBI's most recent statistical compilation ( 1/14 - 6/15) the murder rate is up:

~10% in cities with over 1,000,000 population.
~12% in cities between 500K - 999K
~8% in cities of 250K-499K
~17% in cities of less than 10K

but you're probably right, I am certain the last year has reversed that trend.

... or, then again, maybe not.

Baltimore is currently at 164 murders - which is on pace to surpass 300 by the end of the year. In all of 2014, the number was 211.

So if we take your premise that we are safer and combine that with stats from your same report that shows gun sales have gone up by more than half I imagine that means you are not in favor of stricter gun laws? I mean its a safer world and more people are legally purchasing and carrying guns so we should be good right?

I will add that I guess if the democratic party's argument is "hey its ok cuz only 350 of you in Baltimore have to die this year so stop your bellyaching " Well doesn't seem like a winning argument to me but go ahead and use it . I tend to think we ought to be striving for better and that EVERY American ought not to have a problem acknowledging the fact that thousands of inner city lives are lost across this country each year and we have to work together to reduce and try to end the violence.

So back to the initial statement, in my opinion, Its not fear mongering to say inner city lives matter equally to those in suburbia and rural America. Its just the truth. Sorry if you don't believe it.
