Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
I wish I was so rich and crazy that I could go out and buy a $300,000 car and just take a baseball bat to it and not have a care in the world.

Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
I wonder if Incognito wants to sell it. Would make a good race car now. Maybe I should contact him, but tell him to leave the bat at home....

... and, yet, a gay guy playing football is still big news. :SMH: (cue John Stewart meme). |
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
i honestly don't know why the ferrari bashing is even news. if a guy wants to break his @#$$ that's his business. he paid for it. and yeah, it's weird and wasteful, but it's not a crime.

Just b/c something isn't a crime doesn't mean it's also not news. It's "news" for several reasons: 1) Preliminarily, for the backstory between Incognito & Martin; 2) Even without that, it would be some ET piece on "Ha ha look at the rich guy bash a Ferrari"; 3) Incognito has a long history of on-the-field rage issues. Given the high profile of the NFL, and, again, even without the Martin backstory, it would likely be reported and held up as an example of what an unstable guy he is and what team would want to take a risk on him. Sure, if it had nothng to do with the NFL, if there wasn't a back story where Incognito's behavior towards another player wasn't called into question, if the guy wasn't a high profile UFA with a tenuous history in the NFL, then, yup. No story. I mean, rich guys rage out on Ferrari's all the time - nothing to see here. |

Someone paid off the casino hush money I bet. Rice is soft too. Unless that woman was punching his lights out, no good reason to hit a lady. |

@bbrowner27 I received wonderful news today. The NFL has reinstated me, and I now have the opportunity to prove to the fans and my teammates how important this sport is to me. I realize now more than ever that being part of the NFL is not a right, but a privilege. I am grateful that Commissioner Goodell and my agent were able to resolve this issue in a positive, productive manner so I can continue my career, provide for my family, and help my team win a Super Bowl. Thank you to all who have gone out of their way to show their support. I will live up to your expectations of me.[/SIZE][/B] Good for Browner. Glad he got this resolved because that was some bullcrap what the NFL was trying to do. Guess their lawyers told them they had no shot at winning that case. |

I am looking forward to the start of Free Agency!
Mostly, I'm interested in what the Skins can accomplish but I'm interested, in general, as well. I think it's going to start fast and be a real donnybrook. That's because there are numerous good players available and it looks like more than half of the teams in the NFL will have over $20MM to spend. At least five or six teams could have over $30MM to spend with both Oakland and Indy having huge amounts of cap space at $64MM and $40MM, respectively, at present. If Oakland is planning to spend, they could bring in several big-time players to lead their team. Other than the Skins, Indy probably intrigues me the most because they already have Andrew Luck and now they have the opportunity to make some significant upgrades to their team in FA (and the draft). Let's get ready to r-r-r-r-r-RUMBLE! |
