I hope not. Let him and Colin kneel at home.
Roll with DeShazor and Kam Curl.
I don't think that is really a big distraction any more. If the guy can improve the team I want him. If not he can stay where he is. Besides we already have players kneeling. NBD. |

They look like they have quit on MM already haha.. And he was ranked higher than Rivera this off season... I mean we suck too but at least we were picked to be bad, they were picked to be a 11 win team |

Washington Football could be sellers at the trade deadline and they will listen to offers on some veteran players, according to The MMQB’s Albert Breer. Breer reported Sunday, Washinton will listen to trade calls and two names that have come up were veteran defensive ends Ryan Kerrigan and Ryan Anderson. I would move both
I think it would be awesome for Kerrigan to go say to Seattle and play for a possible Super Bowl contender. He's been a part of some awful seasons with this team, so hope if he's traded it's to a good team where he can still make some plays. |
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
The only reason the kneeling became a big deal is because of the media. Are players still even kneeling anymore? I really don't hear much about it, possibly because too many fans just got tired of it. Cover the games and leave the bullshit politics out of it.
Idk if we should sign Reed. If he comes in and wants to be social justice warrior then get out. If you want to fit in with the new culture then I'm all for it. We're going to need some depth because Apke just can't play. |
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
Seattle makes a ton of sense for RK, they need a pass rusher bad. I'd swap him for D.Moore in a heartbeat

Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
Grades from yesterday
Gibson = 81.6 Terry = 68.5 Moses = 71.8 Allen = 66.9 Collins = 94.9 (best of the yr by far) Holcomb = 79.3 CY = 78.7 Sweat = 76.7 |
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
Even though it's still early, Gibson is starting to look like a good pick. I love how Gibson runs and how he always makes the effort to gain 2-3 more yards after being tackled (or swarmed) by defenders. If Gibson keeps up with what he has been doing throughout the season, I'm going to expect big things from Gibson next season. Smith and the FO will need to find more offense playmakers to take the burden off McLaurin and Gibson next year.
McKissic is better than I thought he was, he is a good replacement for our Chris Thompson, only McKissic is more durable. |
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
He's been our most consistent offensive player this yr. Terry can't really help not getting the ball so that's really why but still.
|
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
I'm surprised at how many here think we need to just loose out. We need to work on a winning culture not a loosing one. My week was made when they showed the dejected look on the faces of the Dallas players. Hell we even have a chance to win a division.

Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
Playcalling - feels like we saw more pass attempts over 20 yds than we saw all season combined. With Haskins, it was almost exclusively some variation of a screen play. I think we are seeing a different look with Allen.
Logan Thomas - nice find by the front office. I was hoping we'd sign Hooper (4yrs/44M/23guar) but im much happier with Thomas and his 2yr/6M contract. WR - outside of McClaurin, feels like the other guys just are not getting open. We are the first team Dallas has held to under 30 points ... so I dont know how to feel about |

They were stopped on 4th down inside the 1, they missed a FG, and I don't think they were as worried about scoring in the 2nd half as much as they just wanted to burn clock. They knew Dallas wasn't a threat to score at that point. |
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
Logan Thomas has been nice but I can't help but think he's better off as your #2 TE. He's a big target and that's about his best attribute.

Just from the way he started that speech: "I'm know I'm still a young guy, ain't a captain or nothing...", my guess is he hasn't been very vocal in the locker room as of yet. Which is just fine, because you do have to earn respect... I do think he has earned it though, and this is a great sign. This team needs his leadership, and more players with his character and drive. BTW, Haskins should just hand over his C to this dude.
McLaurin is awesome. He will be a captain soon enough. |
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
Speaking of McLaurin, I would do right by him, and extend him this off season. Pay that man and make him a WFTer for at least the next 5 years.

I had no idea that the Boyz were that bad, now having said that let me say this...Kyle Allen is still a bum, we weren't playing The Packers yesterday, he did what he was supposed to do beat a worst team I'm still not convinced that he can start long term, I say that when we get to the meat of the season he'll revert back to his choking self, it's good to beat the dirty Dallas Cowboys but let's not make Allen the second coming of Montana..no confidence here when he faces a good team.

Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
Some people are pointing out that Dallas is trash, but honestly, I feel like in the past we've barely beaten teams that are the same or worst than us or have lost to them. I mean, last year the Dolphins were a mess and we barely beat them. Overall the team looked better, and I hope they can continue to play competitively.
My thoughts on the Dalton hit, I know it was a bonehead move by Bostic, but I feel that the NFL needs to change its rule on QBs period. The current rule gives a competitive advantage to QBs and makes defender second guess themselves when trying to tackle a running QB. I just feel that QBs should be fair game when they decide to run. |

Let Allen have some time to grow. We aren't beating the Steelers, Seahawks or 49ers regardless of who our qb is. Then we end with the Panthers and Eagles, both beatable teams. 8 and 8 unlikely as it is would certainly won this division.

Well, I think he has to be given the chance to face some good teams before we can say he has no confidence against good teams. With that said ... yeah, hes a good backup (a la colt mccoy) and a decent showing against an almost historically bad Cowboys defense that was on the field a lot bc their offense was a "3 n out" machine doesnt make him a possible long term answer imo. Hes a good backup .. which has tons of value in todays NFL. If you have a contender team in a contender window, you better have a good backup so if your franchise QB goes down, you still have a shot. |

The current rule gives a competitive advantage to QBs and makes defender second guess themselves when trying to tackle a running QB. I just feel that QBs should be fair game when they decide to run.
1. I think Bostic hit was 15 yards all day 2. 100% agree that its becoming unfair for defenders. in two ways - one when a Qb slides late and 2 when a Qb runs towards the sideline and defenders hold up then the Qb doesnt go out and runs it up the field. Defenders are so scared to get a 15 yarder they wont even hit a QB in bounds if he is nearing the sideline. Mahomes a week or 2 ago, was running to the sideline and the defenders held up and then he kept going up field. Mahomes (another play) also was running to the sideline and stopped and did like a twirl and kept going up field. Mahomes is going to get lit the fuck up one time and I hope there is no flag. Russell Wilson is great at sliding, last night he slid late once, peterson hit him, no flag. I liked that. I dont think QBs should get protection when they run as far as they can then slide at the last second. perhaps they should change the rule that QBs dont get protection if a defender is within 2 yards when a Qb initiates a slide. I doubt the NFL will change any Qb protection rule though. ---------------- Consider this exchange from Sunday’s Bengals-Ravens game, courtesy of the Week Five edition of Mic’d Up. Cincinnati defensive lineman Carlos Dunlap hits Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson near the sideline. Jackson falls, a flag comes out for unnecessary roughness, and the Ravens pick up 15 yards of field position. Said Jackson after the play, “Man, he didn’t do sh-t. I tried to flop.” Later in the clip, Jackson is seen and heard laughing as he says, “Ooooh, got a free play.” It’s unlikely that this kind of admission will make officials less likely to throw a flag. It’s unknown whether it will make defenders more inclined to pull up and avoid all contact with quarterbacks. If they are going to fall down anyway, defenders may decide to give them a better reason to. Regardless, flopping in football is real. As if anyone thought it wasn’t. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/10/17/lamar-jackson-admits-to-flopping-and-drawing-a-foul/ if its the playoffs ... im telling my defenders to not hold back on a sideline QB run. Dont hit him out of bounds but dont worry about a flag if you think you can hit him in bounds. Dont let up. |

No way is Kyle Allen a future starter for us lol, he had a very vanilla game plan yesterday and he managed it well.

Just the way he approached it is exactly the way to do it as a young guy who still acts like he hasn't earned any respect in the locker room (even though we know that's not the case). Especially without having a stud veteran wideout to set the example, I hope the rest of our young wideouts try to emulate him in their work ethic. |

It's bad but we've seen others be bad as well. This division has many haters |
Re: Dallass Postgame Version 1
One reason this season will be so bad for the division is that we play probably the 2 strongest divisions in the afc and nfc. That alone is worth 6 to 8 losses for all 4 teams. I don't remember another time that happened.
