Re: 2019 mlb
Yessir. I hate the yankers with the best of them. As an Orioles fan I root for the Orioles first and root against the Sox and Yankees next. Since it is October and I will have to wait a decade to root for the O’s in the playoffs I will do the next best thing. If I can watch the Yankees in the World Series and root against them I will be pretty happy. As long as they don’t win.
In reality you know the adage good pitching will beat great hitting. I think you are seeing that in the N.Y.-twins series
I think greater hitting is beating great hitting actually in this Twins series. That adage about pitching is what scares me against the Astros though. If you want the Yanks to lose you better pray its in the ALCS because whoever wins that wins it all. |

Martinez getting cute with Corbin...incompetence

First manager trying to go all the way while at the same time minimizing how often his bullpen comes into the game. It was fun while it lasted but the Dodgers have gotta know it doesn't matter who the Nats trot out tonight, they're just gonna try to run up the pitch count to force the pen to come in early. Even if by some miracle we advance, you can't run with the big dogs while the only guys you trust in your bullpen are Doolittle and Hudson. Everybody else is junk. And Corbin/Scherzer are needed to make starts, not pitch relief on 2 days rest. |

He's gonna throw the kitchen sink tonight just to stay alive. Even if they extend the season using all your pawns at once is gonna hurt us later. |
Re: 2019 mlb
That 7th inning by sherzer is the stuff of legends. Wow. If the Nats hold on this performance will be remembered for a long time

Braves pen blew it again...

Punch,
Feel my hate boooooooooooooooo! |
Braves pen blew it again...
Our 3-7 hitters blew it again. Freeman in particular is fucking up my universe. The tying run they got was on a BS broken bat double and then BS bloop that barely glanced of Frreemans glove. Lucky bullshit break the Cardinals always seem to get. The bullpen started in the 4th and only gave up 2 runs, including above. They did their jobs. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Motherfucker I hate sports. What a fucking disaster. Follow for 166 games for that shit to happen to end the season.
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Holy fucking shit what happened to the Braves?
Even for a division rival, I pity them. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Fuck

Re: 2019 mlb
Fuck

Re: 2019 mlb
So uh, how bout them Nats?
I couldn't have called it even if I had tried. Also TBS had me feeling hella sympathetic for Kershaw looking like he just found out his grandma died while he was sitting on the bench. Also way to TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF Howie! Still a long way to go before we start approaching 2018 Caps territory but so far so good. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Congrats Nats fans that was awesome. Unexpected heroes all around. I do feel bad for Kershsw IMO the greatest pitcher this generation but has had some major goat moments in the playoffs. Also this is great https://russianmachineneverbreaks.com/2019/10/09/the-capitals-all-wore-washington-nationals-shirts-on-their-flight-to-nashville/

2019 mlb

2019 mlb
Paving the road for the pinstripes!

Re: 2019 mlb
Hope the Nats keep it going. This run has been fun to watch.
|
Re: 2019 mlb
And just in case anybody is unclear how Dan Snyder feels about other DC teams having success...
There's only one DC team who hasn't congratulated the Nats for moving on. I swear, watching the Caps/Nats/Wizards/Mystics/DC United rally around and support each other and then watching the Redskins pout in the corner really confirms how much nobody likes Dan Snyder. |

The Nats have taken years off my life. It reminds me of the seven in a row or we don’t go redskins season. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Shit gets reals tonight
|
Re: 2019 mlb
Ballsy to bring Sanchez out for the 8th
|
Re: 2019 mlb

|
Re: 2019 mlb
Wow...let’s go nats

Re: 2019 mlb
World Series starts tonight,.....the actual World Series is just a formality. This comment isn’t going to go over well on this board. Sorry. Not sorry. Go Yankees!

Re: 2019 mlb
Fuck the Cardinals. I hated them more than anyone besides the Red Sox before this year. Cardinals this year are whiny ass bitches. So they are moving towards 1st
1 run in 2 games at home? I like that. |

Tanaka must have been blowing Andy Petitie and Roger Clemens before the game to summon their ball control to be able to pitch like that. If the Lastros let the weak Yankee pitchers off the hook this is going to be a short series. |

Lol. Sevy, Tanaka, and Pax are slightly better than week, and our bullpen is probably the best in baseball. |

I liked you before you got all cocky about the Yankees. I feel like with all the titles you've won you could afford to let some other team win one but I guess being the Patriots of baseball just isn't good enough for you. |

meh unless you're my Orioles that is hardly a rotation that strikes fear into a line up. Let's be honest the Yankees MO will be get an early lead, hopefully get 5 to 6 innings out of a starter and then bull pen time. Nothing wrong with that strategy it has worked for them for the last decade basically. |
Re: 2019 mlb
Well Sevy was a cy young candidate before his injury. Seems to be returning to form. Tanaka a legit 1 on many teams. Pax wasn’t great last night but was absolutely lights out second half of the season. Anyway Boone is an ass with the pen. He lost that game last night pulling Greene. Never been a fan of his. I could win 100 games with that lineup. When he has to make moves hold on to your seat....
