Re: Republican nominee for President
It's a choice like Arsenic....or Russian Roulette. They both may take you to the same place but there is at least some chance of success with one over the other.
Jeb..... |
Re: Republican nominee for President
What's the definition of success then? Not sure how any rational person can compare the family resumes and come away thinking the country is better off with another Bush. But I guess if you dig war and recessions bring it on.

Re: Republican nominee for President
I do not have time tonight as other commitments hinder my progress. I'll take the time tomorrow to.....smite you righteously.

Re: Republican nominee for President
unfunded war with (potentially) unfunded tax cuts! balance that budget - yeehaw!
I'd also go with neither, unless we're talking bush sr and bill, in which case i'd vote reagan. |
Re: Republican nominee for President
I would define success as the resolution to some of the more pressing issues this country faces.
Not necessarily in this order or limited to the following: Border control/immigration Budget Deficit/Debt Foreign Policy/Middle East Unemployment Tax Code Reduce the FED Makes no sense to parlay the choice of Bush/Clinton as neither is on my radar AND to stick the war thing on Bush is...absurd |

Those two names win the early headlines simply because they are names. But Hillary will lose the Democratic base just like she did to Obama, in 2008. And Bush is running at best 4th, and he's not picking up Trump suppporters after Trump is gone. I don't know who will come out and beat Hillary for the Democratic nomination, but my guess is a new candidate will emerge shortly and be the touted as "true" heir to Obama's policies |

in September 2007, Real Clear Politics polls showed Hillary with a 42 to 23 point lead over then Sen Obama.
Right now she has a 43- 24 point lead over Sanders. |

I absolutely want neither. But I think Hillary would do the better job |
Re: Republican nominee for President
Personally, I would vote for Dr. Ben Carson. He seems to be the most intelligent candidate, and like Trump, seems to be disconnected enough from the political machine to actually make sense.

On May 4, 2015, Carson announced he was running for the Republican nomination in the 2016 presidential election at a rally in Detroit, his hometown.[1] Carson was the first surgeon to successfully separate twins conjoined at the head. In 2008, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush. After delivering a widely publicized speech at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, he became a popular conservative figure in political media for his views on social and political issues.[2] Seems like a regular dumbass to me...... |
Re: Republican nominee for President
It's interesting to me how conservatives have been drawn to non traditional political candidates so far. I thought the tea party candidates would fill that vacuum of the non traditional, but trump, Carson and fiorina are true outsiders.
Dems seem content with the most orthodox of political candidate. Doesn't that seem a little strange...the republican side stepping more outside the box? |

BUT after the feel good stuff has settled in, how good is our vetting process? Looking from the outside in, it appears to have the potential for many holes. If that is true we need to do...Whatever is necessary ensure that is not the case. |
Re: Republican nominee for President
There's no BUT to it really. Just to be clear... doing whatever is necessary cannot under any circumstance come down to excluding an entire group of people based on religion.
It feels sad to even have to have this discussion really. Trump is such a buffoon. |

Trump is such a buffoon.
If we cannot find sufficient info to clear/deny an individual for entry into our country, that person should be denied until that changes. That is what falls to our officials as their responsibility to keep this country safe. As can be seen, our country's borders have become a swinging gate with little thought given to National Security or deaths caused by failing to do so. BTW...what percentage of applicants get denied on such a basis? obama certainly has shown his cowardice in his failing to deal with such matters. It has...Nothing to do with religion. What it has to do with is the....fact that the worlds single most impactful terrorist group which is currently killing large groups of people on a regular basis happens to claim Muslim as their religion. BTW #2...I don't give a Fuck about Trump, but I do applaud his lack of fear.. BTW#3 If we are not subjecting...every Muslim male between the ages...say 18-50 to Serious scrutiny in the "vetting" process, we all deserve to die for our stupidity. It is a matter of "Common Sense", but has become lost....... |

U.S. Refugee Admissions Program We have the information we need we just need to get it to the right people. This has been going on for decades. When need to spend, the time effort and yes even money to tighten up our information distribution process instead of shutting down a system as Trump suggests. |
