Didn't Griffin have these same kind of games in 2012? When we clinched the division against Dallas I don't think Griffin had 100 yards passing. Nothing wrong with your Qb running a conservative offense when you have a dominant run game and great defense. I'll take our 2012 offense over the one I saw this year.
To be fair, it was exactly 100 yards, but I don't mind giving the credit to AlfMo and the defense since Griffin wasn't anywhere near 100%. Even watching that game you could tell they weren't trying to get him to do too much.

Denver / San Fran Superbowl

Would've really enjoyed a Manning & Co. vs. Legion of Boom (w/ Browner) Superbowl.

Difference is Griffin had a bum knee that game, not saying Wilson is bad but he is vastly overrated. Good QB but the way people talk about him you would think his bust is in Canton already.

Then when do you get that other corner....Hall is getting old.

He's only 29. He's got another 3-5 years left in him.

According to Wikipedia he's actually 30, his birthday is at the end of November. I kept thinking about how strange it would be for him to have been in the league for a decade and only be 29 years old. Sorry D-rave.

Either way last year was as strong as I've ever seen him, I definitely wouldn't mind bringing him back for another couple years until we can find a younger replacement. We've got too many holes to fill already, why create another?

I would not go into free agency and pay big money for a corner. I would try and improve the pass rush and find some people that can block.

But even before he got hurt he had games where he didn't have big passing stats. But he was having an impact off of the zone read and opening holes up for Morris and running the ball. I believe RG3 had 3200 yards in 15 starts.

I don't think Wilson, Kap or RG3 will ever be 5,000 passers, but they can still be very good QB's. It's not all about stats.

Yes he did have 3,200 yards in 15 starts but he also didn't finish two of the games he started.

In the NFC, hopefully a sinkhole will swallow the stadium and neither team is ever heard from again.

ugh .. just imagine if shanny was able to convince manning to sign with us.

manning wouldnt even give us an interview.

Well get ready for the inevitable Seahawks bandwagon. Already here in SW VA, I've seen brand new Seahawks stickers all over the place. There are at least two where I work and when I asked, it was, "I'm a Russell Wilson fan."

No, you're just a front runner. Move along.

Pats were the same back in the day. No one knew the QB prior to Brady and even the "fans" only knew Bledsoe.

To not be so bitter, success will do that for ya, just annoys me how many people only want to cheer for a winner. Makes it less fun imo.

The difference is, Brady doesn't have that defense from the early to mid 2000s. Manning, well he's always had teams with sub-par defenses.

Manning also had the weapons that Brady only had for 2 or 3 years and he won two MVP's those years.

I think both Manning and Brady have been great, but the Manning vs Brady talk has always been overhyped. They are both the same.

Brady has zero WR weapons...Welker was a big loss, Gronk being hurt and Hernandez locked up.

The fact that NE made it as far as they did, shows how bad the AFC is, and how parody in the NFL, is a joke.

And just like years past Manning has a crazy overloaded offense where as Brady has people you'd probably never heard of before each year. I'm sorry, but almost any starting quality QB in the league could get plugged into that offense and put up 300+ yards a game without breaking a sweat.

skinsfaninok 01-19-2014 07:07 PM

Brady haters will always say he's had help blah blah, fact is they showed the numbers the other day and it wasn't even close , manning has had way more help over the years. Both are great QBs it gets old hearing the same stuff about the 2.

I wouldn't go that far.

I think if you put Brady on Denver or Indy back then, he does just as same as Manning, and if you put Manning on the early NE teams, he also wins a couple of super bowls. Not sure he wins three but I think the view on Manning would be very different as far as a postseason failure.

Exactly, no way this pats team should have won 12 games , who is their big name playmaker?? On either side of the ball... It shows how great BB and TB really are.

Some people just are haters man , u just have to understand that. NC is cool but he's a well known Brady hater lol , tom could win 5 rings and he'd say it was the D that won for him

I honestly don't think so, but they are very different types of QB's as manning has always been the wing it around a majority of the time QB with the flashier stats whom you honestly had a feeling if a game was close it could go either way with him leading the team to victory or defeat, whereas other than the one year teamed up with Moss, Brady has always come across as the game manager who stayed cool and clutch if the game was close near the end and you thought their team had a chance to win it. But with these two QB's, both have had careers others would sell their souls for so I'm sure both are pretty happy with their lives and those of us discussing it on websites like this doesn't cause them to lose a second of sleep.

D didn't win it for him but D was a big reason he has three.

To be a dynasty you need a great defense, great offense and a great set of special teams. That is why they become dynasties.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend

Brady v. Manning is overhyped. Neither would be anything if they didn't have 10 other guys on offense helping them out, as well as an entire defense supporting their leads and special teams helping them out. That's why they always give credit to their supporting cast, because they know they are the voice of an entire team. I think both are amongst the all-time greats at qb, but I don't care to rank which is better than the other. Both of them have put up amazing numbers with and without great supporting casts, although Brady has more seasons with the latter.

He made it just as far in the playoffs as Peyton Manning did last year.

And Tebow went 7-4. Orton went 1-4.
