Re: Around the NFL Week 13
oh poor DMN... I wouldn't be betting the gnomes against the pack either. after last week i just don't see it.

Re: Around the NFL Week 13
I think they're releasing him knowing a team-probably Chicago, maybe Houston?-is interested and they want to give him a chance to latch on to a playoff team
Now watch the Jags claim him |
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
I know its probably a reach, but Dallas is looking for a vet backup with Kitna being down for the long count. They attempted to claim Orton when he was released by Denver, but KC got higher priority.

Re: Around the NFL Week 13
Shanny is 2-1 in trades involving McDummy and Haynesworthless so far.

Not a bad choice |
Did you know...prior to this game, the biggest line ever was the 1995 Cowboys with 17.5 over the Redskins...but they lost
Didn't New England have some 20 point spreads back in 07? Back in 93 the Cowboys were 18.5 over the Redskins at Dallas and they covered. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
McNabb also makes sense in Philly w/Vick out. That bridge may not have burned. Reid brought J. Trotter back after a somewhat bitter departure.

Man I am just struggling this week. I totally read and then worded it wrong. 1995 Cowboys were 17.5 over the Redskins, making them not the biggest favorite but the biggest favorite to lose |
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
McNab and Haynesworth owe all hardworking Americans and service men/women an apology for being so lazy.

How is losing a 2nd rounder (what we gave up for McNabb) or a possible 3rd rounder (what was reportedly offered for Haynesworth in the 2010 offseason) winning at all? The only winners in these two situations are Andy Reid (who has managed to con two teams in the past two years) and Haynesworth (who conned the Skins for a ton of money). |

His loss is the actual trade for McNabb to begin with. The two wins were getting picks back for guys they were going to cut, and who the team they traded to ended up cutting them as well. Also, Shanny didn't give Fat Al that money, Snyder and Vinny did. SHanny just reworked the contract to fit in the uncapped year. |

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we got something in return for McNabb after such a huge blunder of a trade, but still. If you want to talk about Shanahan winning in a trade situation, I would say the trade with the Jags on draft day is a good example. Granted, some may say it is "too early" but as of right now I would put us in the winning end of that deal. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
wow, these eagles have fully quit on this season.

Re: Around the NFL Week 13
Djax coasting on a play. Vince Young had some words for him. Haha.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
Lynch is a damn beast. eagles defense is mind boggling how bad they are...much softer than i imagined this year. Their lb and safety play is horrible
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
When Vince Young is getting on you about your work ethic, you probably suck.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
Lol, not everybody goes through waivers, McFlake. Poor McNabb, you know he's feeling the shame of having to go through waivers.
No, Kurt Warner, McNabb's skillset fits nobody. Especially with "tailor"-gate. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
NFL Secondaries want no part of Marshawn Lynch.

Re: Around the NFL Week 13

Re: Around the NFL Week 13
Sage Rosenfels is available and is familiar with Kyle's offense.
AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Dolphins released QB Sage Rosenfels off NFI. He's healthy -- had mono -- and ready to go. He will be on waivers with Donovan McNabb. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 13

He wasn't here long enough, he was pretty good in Houston. Houston Texans (2006–08) He signed with the Houston Texans as an unrestricted free agent on March 13, 2006. In 2006, the Houston Texans trailed the Tennessee Titans 21–3 before he threw three second-half touchdown passes to cut the lead to 28–22 as time ended the comeback. The Sporting News' February 2007 off-season awards issue predicted that Sage would be 2007's Tony Romo, the breakout quarterback of the year coming from a backup role. In 2007, the Houston Texans trailed the Tennessee Titans 32–7 entering the fourth quarter. Rosenfels tied an NFL record by throwing four 4th-quarter touchdown passes, to give the Texans a 36–35 lead before Rob Bironas kicked his NFL-record 8th field goal to give the Titans a 38–36 win.[16] Rosenfels finished the 2007 season at 4–1 as a starter, in comparison to Matt Schaub's 4–7 on the season.[17] He completed 154-of-240 passes for 1,684 yards and 15 touchdowns.[18] His passing touchdown percentage of 6.3% was fourth-best in the NFL for the season, and his pass completion percentage of 64.2% was the 10th-best in the NFL.[19] In 2008, Rosenfels started in the Texans' home opener against the Indianapolis Colts. Although Rosenfels had led the team to a 27–10 lead with 8:18 remaining, Indianapolis scored a touchdown to make the score 27–17 with 4:04 left. After Rosenfels fumbled twice the Colts took the lead and, following a last-minute Rosenfels interception, finished the game with a 31–27 victory. Rosenfels got his first win as a starter in 2008 in a November game against the Cleveland Browns. His second win of the season came against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Houston Texans' first ever Monday Night Football appearance. In his three seasons with the Texans, Rosenfels went 6–4 as a starter.[16] Through 2008, he had thrown 30 career touchdown passes.[ |

I think all of Redskin Nation would support such a move. All Andy needs is someone like Steve spagnuolo as his D-Coordinator and the Eagles are a different team. Still Reid doesn't deserve the crap he gets in Philly. Send him to San Diego where he'll not only thrive, but be appreciated. Coaches that can get virtually every QB they coach to overachieve are extremely rare. I can only imagine how a Rivers-Reid combo would shape up. |
