Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
It was only a matter of time before Hall blew up. Should have saw this coming. It wouldn't be so bad if he didn't get beat all the time, but it feels like whenever I watch a game that he's getting beat by everyone, from number 1's to number 3's.
Not pathetic, a win's a win, I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss etc. We've all heard those phrases over and over again.
At some point, in order for us to be a complete team, we have to go into someone's house, play better than them in every facet, and win on a regular basis. We are not there yet and so there is always room for improvement. Chicago is 4-2, has a stellar defense, and they also happen to have beaten the Packers. Can the Redskins win? Absolutely, I think we've proven that we can hang around with a lot of teams in the league. We have 3 wins in 6 games, 1 less than we had in 16 games last season. But we have to improve our overall defense, the offensive line still has to gel, we are still looking to establish a consistent running game and we have yet to develop a very thin WR corp, arguably one of the worst in the league. So, while not pathetic, we have a ways to go before we are where we could be.
It all comes down to putting forth the effort and playing hard for 60 minutes. I don't believe anyone seriously expected the Redskins to beat the Colts. But, the Redskins had every opportunity and was very, very close in doing just that....AND...having to come back to do so! Something that Cris Collinsworth said usually doesn't happen against the Colts. I say, as long as each player plays hard for 60 minutes, they're going to win more than they lose. |

Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
I don't see how anyone could be very confident going into Soldier Field facing the #3 ranked rushing offense and 8th overall. The Bears O line might be bad, but ours isn't the greatest either. Mr. Urhlacher, meet Mr. Torain!!! Ouch!!!!!!!!! We get in Cutler's face often and produce a few turnovers as a result we can win, but if we don't, we will lose. Also, what are we going to do about Forte?
|
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
THe reason I can't be overly optimistic, is this is the type of game we tend to lose. THe games we all think we will win handily or not a nailbiter. Chicago has weapons, with no line, but like I said above our line isn't so great either, even though we also have weapons. It will be a hard fought game. Turnovers will determine the outcome.

Cutler to Olsen maybe something we'll be seeing. Apparently, Olsen is the fastest TE Martz has ever worked with. And Cutler to Knox is like clockwork. They connect on a bomb almost every game, although no TDs have been scored...yet... And maybe, Aromashodu gets in a "suck it, Danny" moment and gets a TD as well. |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
Knox has been kind of crappy the past few games. I keep up with him since he's on my fantasy team and hasn't had a lot of receptions as of late. Long or otherwise...
|
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
Olsen also is doing nothing in the past few games. Martz doesn't have much use for a TE in his offense. They rarely used one in the "greatest show on turf" in St Louis

Last week, he accrued 120 yards. As I said, he has no TDs, which is why he stinks in fantasy.
Olsen also is doing nothing in the past few games. I agree that we have to play well to beat the Bears. But in terms of "the type of game we tend to lose," I'm more worried about the Lions. Seriously. |

It always seems the Redskins are the epitome of losing the trap game. I don't get why we always seem to play up or down to the level of our competition. That is the difference between an okay team and a great team. We are still a few years away from that. I want to be able to envision us being New England in a couple years. Two picks in each of the first four rounds. However, we have been a terrible drafting team for so long I can't picture that day yet. |

Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
The Bears board is all over the place on this one, anywhere from a close competitive game with either team winning, to a blowout by Chicago, to a blowout by the Skins. And the funny thing is, I can see it exactly like that. I have no idea which of these teams will live up to potential, and which will flub around. I am hoping for a comfortable win, but wouldn't be surprised to see a Rams type effort after a tough loss.

bout sums it up at this point. Bears have won 4 but drawn more attention for how much their qb gets sacked. WE've won 3 but give up crazy yards. Both are not playoff caliber in talent, but each one is in a division that's got 3 teams close. |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
5+.........and hospitalize
|
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
Either team can win it. Our D has to be at least decent against the run. Most of you are talking Cutler, but what about Forte? Their line isn't that much worse than ours and we are horrid against the run. I just don't see how anybody can view this as an easy win. Whoever wins, I will bet it will be ugly.

We'll have to.....fight our guts out!
Let's rack up some more wins in the conference. Grossman surely wants to play too.
If Grossman plays and the Skins are not up by 5 TDs in the second half when he enters the game, this is a BAD omen for the Skins' season. |
imo we shouldn't be favored they are 4-2 and we are 3-3. On the road at that
Dallas is a 3-point favorite over the Giants this week in Dallas. Check their records... |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
I'm calling that Rak puts up 4 sacks in this game (like the Raiders last year) but the score will be close on account of Chicago's great defense.
Skins 20 Bears 17 |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
Skins win 24-16.
Cutler sacked 6 times McNabb sacked 4 times. Albert Haynesworth plays and is "injured" sufficiently to stop play and have trainers come onto the field to tend to him at least once and maybe three times. |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
AH gets his first sack this weekend, Rak gets 2, Zo gets one too
|
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
We lose 20-21. Cutler goes bombs away to Johnny Knox late in the 4th quarter. Dhall had a booboo and slipped.
|
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
If the bears run 30 times...they will win.
It's pretty simple folks....we can't run against a team like this in our current condition....and they can....the only way we win if they are dedicated to the run is due to turnovers....which most likely would occur due to picks (we have stone hands) or crushing hits on special teams or blitzes....I would love to see the Bears consistently try to throw the ball. I see 8 in the box on first downs by the skins to try to force them out of the run game. Bears have the upper hand going in as we can't beat them straight up in the running game. I'd love to see an early lead too. |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
What's the deal with LL and Sellers? Both had limited practice Friday?
What's the deal with LL and Sellers? Both had limited practice Friday?
Probably just precautionary more than anything, they are both expected to start. Just nursing minor injuries. |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
I hope you are correct. The last thing we need is LL nicked up or......out. Sellers either for that matter
|
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
I say we win this one with the new found ground game in Torain. I think AH comes in to play here because if we put him we will see a double team that probably is not fully accounted for by the Bears at this point. Also Mcnabb big over the top of a over confident defense pulling up blitzing or spying.
D has been meshing better each game and I expect to see more big hits and turnovers created by them. I'll be looking for Torain 100+ for sure! Can't wait to see what Dirty 30 brings! Should be exciting.
Torain getting 100+ yards would be great, but rather unrealistic playing at Soldier Field against the 3rd rated rushing D in the NFL. As for AH, I do not see him being a factor much at all from here on out. Bruce and Shanny don't want their trade bait of 2011 getting nicked up. |

Shanahan has been quoted in pretty much admitting AH could have helped against the Colts. |
Shanahan has been quoted in pretty much admitting AH could have helped against the Colts.
Well, why didn't he put him in then? No matter what Shanny thinks of AH, he is a $100 million asset that needs to be used. I feel a trade is in the works and AH will be used sparingly if at all. Shanahan can say all he wants, talk is cheap. Until I see AH used extensively, I will stand by my thoughts that he is being sit out since he is bait. |
Re: It's F-ing Bears Week!
Trade deadline is long gone, AH is going to play a lot this week and even more as the season wears on.
