He's a possession guy that drops the ball too much... not a good combo but we will see
All our receiving corps seemed to have a drop issue this season, so we can still hope Doctson'll step it up (fireourwrcoachfireourwrcoachfireourwrcoachfireourwrcoachfireourwrcoach) |
I'd take any WR at this point.. They are all upgrades
I will trade you, the receivers that the Skins finish the season with an trade you for the receivers the Giants finish the season with ...even up trade(not the TE) |

No because the WRs we finished the season with are basically the ones we started with minus Pryor |
Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Doctson is essentially coming off his rookie year.

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
I hope the skins sign Josh Gordon and trade kirk to the Broncos for their 1st round pick. By having the 5th and 13th pick the skins pick, The skins have their choice of bluechip QB's that hasn't been selected whether its Mayfield, Allen, Rosen, Darnold, or Jackson. Redskins trade down from 13 and take Guice while adding some extra picks.
With the money saved by not paying Cousins, the Skins sign Demarcus Lawrence, Poe or Star Lotulelei to solidify the D-Line and Andrew Norrell to play left guard. |
Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Dallas isn't going to let Demarcus Lawrence go.

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Have we fired Bruce Allen yet? Has Danny Boy sold the team? Unless those things happen it doesn’t matter who we get. Sorry to be Debbie Downer but there is not a single person walking around Redskins Park that understands how to build a sustainable, winning team. Not one. On top of that Gruden is a hack.

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Whatever we do I just hope we don't draft Jackson or Mayfield. Jackson's first instinct is to run and that's hard to coach out of him. Mayfield is too much of a risk, plays in a conference with weak defenses and throws to wide open wr's all the time. We're not getting Darnold or Rosen. The guy from Wyoming looks like Osweiler.

It's a crapshoot, nobody thought Wentz would be that good or that Goff would turn it around after last yr.. All said Luck was the next Elway and now look.. |
Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Just finished listening to the podcast of Cooley's show from Friday.
There was a general Jordan Reed discussion and the subject of his crappy blocking came up. Cooley said he actually communicates a lot with Reed and is going to be working in the offseason with him on his blocking. Cooley said Reed was serious on getting better and realized he has to. This isn't a revelation by any means, but it is the first time I've heard about any efforts to improve it. |

I cant take him serious anymore, if he plays 8 games next yr I'll be shocked. |

Exactly. Since when has getting better been an issue with Reed unless we are referring to his health? I do not even consider him part of the team. Moving forward TE is a definite need. If Reed suddenly stays healthy for more than three weeks at a time that is a bonus. Personally though i have seen , or not seen, enough. |
Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
We saw that the steelers couldn't stop jacksonville's run game, that is what we need a big time three down back that is able to take it to the house on any carry. There are some in this draft. If we get a stud RB, that alone will help the defense with the time of possession. I know we need other things as well but I would be looking to get a stud RB and don't wait to the 4th round to get one. Get the one you prefer not who is left.

Re: Redskins Offseason Thread
Would you try and pay someone like Kris Richard (just let go by the Seahawks) to come in at DC if he doesn't get a head job?
