I'm a dhall fan not a huge one but let's ask a serious question. Who is better than him on our team right now? Exactly
Wilson in our best CB by far. Can't say much about the rest of them though. |

U think Josh Wilson is better than d hall? How? Wilson is toast every week lol. Hall isn't great but he's better than Wilson |
Re: Adam Schefter this morning on Sports Fix
No way, Wilson has regressed some this year, but Hall has been getting absolutely owned.

Both have hell everyone has on our defense |

No, he's not. The numbers and stats show otherwise. You guys ahve just taken key plays and it's been burned into your head that he's bad. He's not. Many of the times you think it's him, it's been the safety. |
Re: Adam Schefter this morning on Sports Fix
The question isn't who is better on our team right now than Hall. The question is could we use the cap space that cutting Hall would free up to replace him and make even more improvements.
Cutting him will save $8M in cap space next year. That can buy at least two starting caliber players. So the answer is a resounding yes. Now you just have to determine if a CB will be on the market who is better than Hall (shouldn't be hard). It's a no brainer, he's gone. I'd bet my house on it.
yes that's a big piece of pie |

this. BUT, if releasing him will free up a bunch of money and we can find a guy to replace him go for it ... if not... stick him in nickel cuz its not like we're awesomely deep at corner... or in the secondary at all right now. |
As for the 1st RND draft pick and the sustainablity of a franchise...here are the Skins 1st RND draft picks from 82 to 92. Also remember there was very limited FA during this time, so 1st RND picks were, if anything, more valuable.
1982 No first-round draft pick 1983 28 Darrell Green CB Texas A&I 1984 No first-round draft pick 1985 No first-round draft pick 1986 No first-round draft pick 1987 No first-round draft pick 1988 No first-round draft pick 1989 No first-round draft pick 1990 No first-round draft pick 1991 17 Bobby Wilson DT Michigan State 1992 4 Desmond Howard WR Michigan If you look at the above with the way Allen and Shanny have drafted in terms of both adding picks during the draft and getting guys that can contribute - I think we will be fine without the two 1st rounders we gave up
Wow. That's surprising. There was that whole Plan B free agency thing that Beatherd and the Skins excelled at though; it was a way to build depth and character, and with Gibbs at the helm that was all the team really needed. |

same with hall bro, either way our secondary needs a brand new mix. we agree on that |

Yes your are so right!! Josh Wilson is the least smellest piece of sh!t out there!! But the problem is the whole secondary is complete sh!t!!! THEY ALL SUCK. New Englands secondary probably feels bad for us and thats saying something! |
Re: Adam Schefter this morning on Sports Fix
In 2009 Halls contract was structuted to where he got his signing bonus money in 2010 instead of prorating it over years like most contracts. So releasing him in 2013 wouldn't be much of a cap hit. Like SS said...
Hall's gone.
Actually releasing Hall before March 1st frees up 8mil in Cap Room according to Pat Kerwin on Moving the Chains. Go use all that money for one or two other Cbs. Monty and Chester are fine as well as KL. Keep those guys and replace Brown and we have a good Oline. Fix the back end of the D, add a pass rusher, add a RT, and another playmaker and bang here we go in 2013. Beware NFC East. |
Re: Adam Schefter this morning on Sports Fix
josh wilson just hasnt been playing the same since he got his head knocked around.. he was pretty solid for us last year.. and now? .. he just looks lost and like his EQ is off.. i hope he improves but week in and week out i find myself yelling at the TV screaming DAMN YOU WILSON!! lol .. right now i'd take hall over wilson.. but that can change.. we need to see if Merriweather can step in and provide some help at safety... ugh.. secondary is a mess and our vanilla ass looks EVERY snap on defense kills me... that and our 10 yard cushion ;)

I agree, Wilson is a good player and add a key shutdown CB and a slot CB and we are good. Now I know they dont grow on trees but it is doable. |
