So I guess you don't believe Joe?
Matty I will use Smoots example question on you now. If Roger Staubach was praying with the current Redskins team the day before a Redskins game would you find this even a tad bit peculiar?

Frankly I really don't care about nonsense like this.

I trust Joe.

Well I dont think Joe is a Cowboy spy either. Lol. It was posted as a thread topic on the forum. To tell you the truth I think it is more of a headscratcher on Jerry Jones part. I mean Joe was asked to do it, so he said ok. He is a man of faith. I get it. I wonder what Dallas fans think about it?

If he didnt talk about football then what is this?

Gibbs told the team of a situation where he tried to ice a kicker by using a second timeout — drawing a 15-yard penalty that made the eventual game-winning field goal easier.

"A couple players told me, 'If Joe Gibbs can screw it up at the last second, everybody else can screw it up,' " Jones said before Sunday's game.

If thats not talking about football then I dont know what is
Like I said before,Im over it but I still dont like it

It's football, but not a "pep talk".

I thought that was the crux of this disagreement, that he was somehow motivating the troops?

Yes your probably right
While Im sure his intentions were not to be a pep talk to motivate the Cowboys, but if your one of the cowboys and your listening to the great Joe Gibbs speak to you and talk about the things he went thru and everyone makes mistakes, how could you not be motivated by that?:)

Because it is what this thread is about. There is no crux to the "argument". It is out there and you can give your opinion on it if you like. lol
My opinion is that Im over it, but I dont have to like it. Same way I wouldnt want Staubach talking to the Skins players before a Skins game. Whats next, is Bucky Dent gonna go talk to the Redsox about baseball, even though it isnt about baseball, even though he talks about baseball! LOL

Next thing you know we'll be back on why Aikman should't be allowed to call Skins games.

If Joe took a job as a preacher and was scheduled to do a service in Dallas than so be it. Something tells me that aikman will never be calling games with Sonny though. Lol

I am surprised no one is complaining that Ike Hilliard (a former Giants) is coaching our WRs.
