I can see Orakpo too trade picks but I can't see Orakpo plus another high level player or even some high picks to trade up to #2.
Agree, if we give them lots of players we have to keep most of our draft picks. |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
All I'll say is that if the Redskins end up trading up to no. 2 in the next two and a half weeks (instead of on draft day when they probably don't have to go up to 2), the ultimate target isn't going to be Griffin.
It's Luck. |
Fletcher? How do you propose we trade someone who isn't under contract?
Seems tagging is the popular choice. lol. JK, I forgot he was a FA folks chill. I don't know maybe they ask us to get a contract done with Fletcher so he can be packaged with Orakpo and picks to them for us moving up to #2? It helps us, they get the two players they want, everyone is happy. Except me of course. |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
This angle hasnt been played yet, the browns have more ammo as far as draft picks, but we do have a few young players that have some value. It all depends on who we give up Orakpo would hurt a little but he was also drafted by the old regime.

I just don't see that happening but I'm sure the Rams would love it. |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
Like I said in the other thread I have a feeling rg3 goes 1
Well, since the Colts can pretty much name their price to swap Griffin and Luck, I'd have to imagine they would.
The trade up from 6 to 2 would be cheap by comparision. |

No doubt they need a QB but it would be difficult to turn away the ton of picks you could pick up by trading the #1 and #2 pick. Especially if Peyton is healthy......... |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
With the caveat that I don't think Orakpo is going anywhere this offseason, can you imagine our defense with no Orakpo, no Landry, and no Fletcher? I mean, holy crap, we're not going to stop anybody all year if our second best defensive player is Josh Wilson. The Blache years will look very competent by comparison.

Yea, that would be a bad situation. Although we played the majority of last year without Landry. Losing Fletcher and Orakpo would put us in a world of hurt. |

Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
As I understand it, deals with Davis and Fletcher are "very close to completion" as is a decision on Landry

Well, I would assume we'd sign people to replace them. |
