42 catches as a rookie, sounds good to me

Can we give them Roydell Williams back! and then get Britt! Nah, Britt is their best WR, they aren't giving us him. Just dreaming. Can we give them Devin Thomas! lol
Sorry, AH does not get what he wants (outta here) unless and until we get what we want (something of value or 21 million). AH cashed the check. Shanny owns his ass and, if that's a distraction to some, I get the feeling Shanny doesn't care. Better yet, watch what happens to guys who become malcontents or "distracted". You don't play well, you sit and watch your value, UFA contracts, and glory disappear as other hungry to play step up.

If AH can't get with the program, Keyshawn his ass. Not like we're going to get our money's worth outta him.
this is how i feel. it may be a vindictive and personal reaction but just de-activate him for a year or two. let him sit and rot. compared to the 21 mil he took under false pretenses, his salary for the next 2 years isnt all that much to eat for the satisfaction of knowing fat al will never see a significant nfl paycheck again.

Here's Scouts Inc report on Britt:

2010 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc.
Grade: 64 | Key

Comment: A first-round pick in 2009, Britt played in all 16 games for the Titans, starting six and finishing with 42 receptions and three touchdowns. He is a good-sized receiver with above-average downfield speed and is surprisingly quick and agile on his release and in his breaks. Britt can sink his hips to get in and out of his breaks with a burst, but needs to work on being a bit more crisp in his routes. He can read coverages well and does a good job of settling into the seams and soft spots to provide a good target. Britt is a tall receiver with long arms and a wide receiving radius that allows him to reach out and pluck the ball away from his body. Still, he needs to improve his concentration to avoid dropping catchable passes.

I think that the whole "trying to punish him" or "trying to get back at him" has not worked for MS. Just get rid of him period. Had we done this weeks ago, then maybe we could have focused on our defensive line a bit more and made an acquisition. Instead of doing this 11th hour crap.

The cool part is we would be getting rid of a malcontent and picking up a talented WR. I know he would not be available right out of the box but he would have 3 games to study his play book and watch the Skins on game day at home drinking a beer. Then he would have 3 weeks to practice what he has learned before he could play. He basically would be showing up in the latter part of our season healthy, and raring to go. Which would help us with our final games against the Giants twice I think, and Dallas.

Ok..Apparently..it's looking like Kenny Britt is part of this deal from what I'm hearing....

and Mredskins...We don't need a WR...But I want some value for haynesworth besides a late round pick buddy! I would rather have drunk troublemaking 2-strike loser Pro bowler for hayesworth, than a 2017 conditional 7th round draft pick. Value buddy...think value...

Having said that...I would love getting a draft pick plus Kenny Britt for fat al...much more!

Here's Kenny Britt's wiki page: Kenny Britt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dude was a NFL Draft: 2009 / Round: 1 / Pick: 30 and the Titans want to move him.

dude had 42 catches for 701 yards and 3 TD's as a rookie last season.
He's 6'3" 218 lbs
21 years old

This would be a very good move imo...
If we get him plus a pick, that would be a steal possibly!

I thought Kenny Britt was SmootSmack's speculation?

If we actually do get Britt, who gets cut? Williams or Galloway

A business partnership, which is what this relationship is, is a lot like a marriage. You can be right and still lose the argument. You can be wrong, and still "win", its really about how much pain and suffering you are willing to endure to be "right".

My grandfather gave me great advice when I got married: "Sometimes it's better to be happy, than to be right". Meaning, sometime you have to just move on and get over your personal need to be right, even if you feel that you are, in order to be happy.

At this point, I think Shanahan has finally reached the point where he would rather be happy with the team he has, than to be in an ever present battle with Hanesworth about who is "right". I wouldn't call it giving up, I would call it recognizing when you can't win, and salvaging as much of the situation as possible.

I suspect the trade will happen today or tomorrow.

No..it's not just smootsmack speculation anymore...

There even talking about this at the titans boards...

and the 1 player they always bring up in these trade talks,is Kenny Britt.

It is all just speculation at this point, but it's no secret that the Titans are trying to move Kenny Britt as well.

and the redskins are trying to get a WR...

The real question nobody knows,is what is the value between the 2 players...and can they come to any agreement?

and are the Redskins interested in Kenny Britt?

Its a shame things didnt work out. He's our only good d-lineman (I know someone will go off about how Adam Carriker or some other player no coach wants starting is amazing...save your breath, you can't convince me). We need an impact player on the line, I feel like we do need him alot, but if we let him go I wont be THAT upset. If the coach feels there is a need for him to go, then there's probably a need for him to go, and I trust him in his decision making.
