After watching this on the news last night I sent money to the red cross. Don't no how to text so I had to do it the old fashion way through the internet link.

Why would you care less if they are not Americans? A person is a person no matter what country they are from. Now maybe if it was some radical area in the middle east then it could affect how I feel.

The same reason I care less about you than I would my family, priority.

That's your opinion and you just contradicted it too. I don't see why we would give one bloody cent to Haiti or anyone else?

We sent aid to Iran when an earthquake killed people over there. Yet they persist in funding terrorism and blaming all of their problems on us.

When the freeways collapsed in Oakland I don't remember anyone giving a damn about dead and trapped Americans?

Do you know how many times the Marines have been deployed to Haiti and the Dominican Republic? It's a rat hole.

It's not even worth it.

Has this thread brought out the best of the worst in some of us?

Yeah, I was more comfortable doing it online than via text. Not sure why, but I guess that method has become the "old fashioned" way for me as well.

There's always a few bad apples in the bunch, not much you can do about it.

That was the first time I ever done anything like that of donating through text...it was so easy. Very cool, but I can understand any hesitancy with the method...

Wrong + Wrong != Right

I think Haiti is the poorest country in the entire world. My buddy went there to build houses, and he said there were dead people in the street everywhere.

Is he there now or was this in the past?

Don't hate on me. I don't want those people to suffer but I'm not God. I wouldn't wish that kind of suffering on anyone. All I'm saying is charity should start at home, employment too, but that's another thread.
