Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
I saw a locker room interview this morning on SportsDay and he was all smiles when talking about the incident and kept saying "I didn't do anything".

Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
There goes my fantasy team.

Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
Did anybody see John Harbaugh in the locker room wielding a sword? Suspend him. Now.
|
Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
I hope they get him off the payroll and have a fun 2010 like the rest of the league.

Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
What a mess. And if Crittenton really chambered a round...damn!

(damn, that was bad, sorry, I'd think of something better but I have to run a meeting now) |
Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
Both Crittenton and Arenas should be cut asap. I think Ernie is going to be a very busy man from here until the trading deadline. This team is in desperate need of an immediate change to try and take all the attention away from off-court issues. I hope Ernie does something sooner rather than later.

David Stern is contemplating voiding Arenas' $97 million contract! It may happen and actually would be well deserved. This would also help the Bullets greatly, since his contract could never be traded away. |
Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
IMO, people are blowing all of this way out of proportion. So what if he had a gun. Big deal. I thought his gun dance the other night was pretty funny, too.

There's some sort of NBA clause I believe. Plus there's a gun ban in DC. The guns aren't the big deal, the fact these guys thought it was okay to point guns at each other in the locker room (regardless of it being a joke or not) is the problem. If these guys wanna jeopardize their careers and their lives, over a gambling debt, fine. They have the freedom to do that. But they could've handled that away from the locker room. |

Re: Arenas Stored Guns in Locker Room
You know you messed up when you've got Al Sharpton against you. Shit, he even supported Vick.
Kiss your career goodbye, Arenas. |

But they could've handled that away from the locker room.[/quote] Kind of. The Supreme Court ruled on that last year, I believe. You can legally hold a handgun in the District if approved by the city. Most people don't get approved. I don't know how the city handles citizens of other states who pass through. Probably in draconian fashion. The NBA does have a rule about guns in arenas (you can't), but my goodness the outrage this has brought. It just doesn't seem like the actions of Mr. Arenas warrants him losing his career over. You'd think he intentionally ran over a baby with his car, the way people are reacting. |
