He lit it up against the Rams in '07. Look Denver has done everything it could to help Cutler on offense, including drafting o-lineman in the first round. Hard to say Cutler would be the same success story in our division w/ our group on offense.
Cutler is definitely very good (and he's succeeded in the WCO), but I am hesitant to call someone a franchise QB who gets to play the Raiders and Chiefs twice a year
I would almost call him one. Just by looking at the guy play you can tell he's some serious physical skills. But I don't think Bowlen would trade him cause he knows what he has.

Can anyone tell me why this is in the Salary Cap Central forum? If that's a mistake, which I'm guessing it is, I'm moving it

Nothing will happen with him this offseason so I'm not even going to spend any time thinking about it. What I will speculate on however is if Campbell/Zorn doesn't produce at least 9 wins AND Denver doesn't light it up with McDaniel like he did with NE we could set up a Cutler/Shanahan reunion next offseason in DC. I'm just saying.
I love JC & really believe we need to stick w/him. Long-term he's a winner.

I have to admit though, I think Cutler is on the verge of stardom. I can't believe they would actually think of trading him, but if they did, it would at least be worth checking on the asking price. (For the skins it would be high!)
Long term he isn't squat!!!!!!! His stats thus far are only slightly better than Frerotte's and Frerotte had a lot less talent surrounding him. Besides the current state of the team is also running against him. Offensive line aging and in trouble, Portis bound to get banged up, receivers are underachievers for the most part, etc. Hmmmm.. now that I am thinking about it maybe Gus didn't have it so bad after all. I mean the offense sure was more fun to watch with him and Terry Allen running the show.

Now that would be very interesting!!!!!!

heck of an arm...but not really what we need. Colt Brennan would be a better option than he would be in my opinion. Heck he ran that same offense in Hawaii. And people don't know this but Zorn and Hawaii's old coach June Jones were actually good friends so he's been following Brennan for a while...so I think he is our QB in waiting.

I'll give JC about 7 to 8 weeks, and if we are a 500 team...CB will get a shot.

Cutler is a beast. Denver would be retarded to trade him. I would love to see him in washington but it is not an option

I would like Cutler but I think it is unlikely at this stage. Honestly, I think this year is Campbells last year to convince us that he is our future before we look elsewhere.

Listening to Chris Mortenson today talking about Cutler being po'd about being shopped.
He then said that was the beginning of problems with John Elway, and Dan Reeves. When Reeves tried to trade Elway to the Skin's in '91. I'm like HOLY S... I didn't know that. Ryp was great that year, but ELWAY....with that line...YEEOOOOW
