Favorite city that I've lived in: Colorado Springs, very cool place if you like the outdoors.

I've had several great trips to Chicago recently.

All that being said, I would not want to move away from Roanoke. Nice, easy living down here. Of course, one time it took me an extra 3 minutes to get from one side of town to the other. Stupid rush hour.

I do like D.C. too though. It's not an overwhelming city with huge skyscrapers, and there's so much history and it just has an aura of importance. And of course growing up a Skins fan in NY, going to D.C. is always such a treat. It's cool to see people walking around with Skins gear, and stores in the mall have tons of Skins stuff vs. the usual Giants/Jets/Bills/Patriots stuff I see here.

New Orleans. Hands down. Nothing else comes close. It's completely different from every other city I've ever been to. The music, the food, the bars, the scenery in the Garden District. That place is amazing.

San Diego. Just a great place overall. Very clean city that you feel totally safe in and close to some REALLY nice beaches. Got engaged there as well!

Are you talking the hospital exit? I was down there getting the wife's name changed last Friday and DAMN it was nuts. It was around 4PM.

I was stationed in San Diego for 4 years and lived there another four.

I have to tell you guys that have never been there, I don't think there were more than...oh, five or six ugly chicks in the entire town!

Amazing weather, great beaches, did I mention the girls are nice looking?

By and far, Key West. It's like being in the middle of the Caribbean without needing a passport. Great bars, great little shops, great food, the beach, spectacular sunsets. Can't ask for more.

Savannah is another great city. I want to go for St. Patty's Day one year...
This is tough for me. On one hand I LOVED everything about both Chicago and Pittsburgh. Chicago has a ton of culture and I just love the place. Pittsburgh is cheap and fun. A great place to raise a child with the school system. The problem with both of those places is harsh winters. I'm looking to move out of VA after I finish school to go out and see some of the world. So I love this thread, especially because I'm looking for ideas.

I got offered a chance to go teach English in Japan and I'm really thinking about that. I probably wouldn't end up coming back like the two other people I know that went to Japan.
Teaching English in Japan would be a great experience. You should do it! Did the people you know not like?

Can't believe I didn't say Key West. The wife would be pissed! Yeah, I love it because it's so down-to-earth. Most friendly town I've ever been in by far. And I love that no one works, all they do is drink and play music.

One of my least favorite cities is Baltimore and yet I'm thinking that I might move there towards the end of the summer. :(
That shows you how f'd up my line of thinking has been recently.

While I may have been pleased about the nightlife in Baltimore, it was definitely on the dirtier side of cities I've been to. Nothing against you JoeRedskin.
