It was funny at first, now seeing everyone and their mother running shuttles is getting old quick.
this whole situation would have been funny if it was the cowboys or the rams. but it's the skins and it's been goin on for too long now and i'm sick of it. |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
The worst part of this whole ordeal is that it could have been avoided on day one if his fat, stupid ass would have just taken a piss before he came out the first time. Everybody said he smoked it the first run out and it's been downhill from there. No question in my mind that he's tanking it now to force Shanny's hand.

Eh, I don't even let this bother me anymore. Shanny has made his point, and he'll decide when this ends. End of story. |
I don't understand why his knee was swelling up. If he really was training hard to get in football shape during the off season then this wouldn't be an issue. Oh well....seems like he's just going to be standing around while this drags out another two weeks.
There is a big difference between the work out AH probably participates in and working out in order to have endurance. AH probably worked out in a manner in which helps his short quick bursts and getting off the ball quickly plus weight lifting in order to be stronger. That style of work out has nothing to do with jogging a mile or more every day in order to have endurance to pass this test. Most likely his knee is flaring up due to the fact its not ready to run all those yrds. He should have been doing more running so his knees would be prepared for these shuttles. |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Al's lazy ass just doesn't want to practice.. it's really starting to piss me off. I tried to defend him, saying that Shanny is making this a big situation and Shanny is being stubborn trying to send a message... but eventually you have to just take the damn test. There is no reason he shouldn't have passed it already, now he's the one turning this into a big deal.

From Shanahan's comment this doesn't seem to be the case. Besides, the more times he fails, the more that it looks bad on him (if that is even possible anymore). As some people have said, he will pass eventually or at least he will end up in practice, it's just whenever Shanahan decides; which I don't have a problem with. |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Whatever the case, he ain't learning the defense sitting on the sidelines and hitting the treadmill.

i don't think it's possible for him to look worse, but it's not like he really cares. There was just an interesting topic on Around the Horn... if Al never passes the test and sits the whole season out who would be the winner? Al getting paid zillions of dollars to sit on the sideline or Shanny for sticking to his guns? |

It would be a beast of a defense. |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Actually, Albert did try to run it today, but it acted up on the 3rd leg of the first trial.

I feel the same way but if his knees show visible signs of swelling then I wouldn't consider it tanking. |

that's what i'm saying. he's been tanking it from day 1. Al's going to pass it when he wants to so he has to practice as little as possible while still getting his money and playing time (which i don't think he really cares about too much either). |

I read somewhere that the team technically could put AH on the PUP list or something like that which would keep him from playing here or anywhere and allow them to call him back up when they were ready. I kinda got the impression it might even effect his salary however I could be wrong about that. But in any event it would embarrassse him a little..... maybe. lol. |
Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test
Let me get this straight. Docket is 290 pounds yet still has less than 10% body fat? That's freaking insane.
