I want to get this shirt. I think I'd wear it over a polo shirt with a popped collar sticking out, just to be ironic. |

Funny you should say that.... |

I need to get in touch with production people at ESPN, I have an idea for the next big televised pseudo-sport: LAWN DARTS!
Lawn darts - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia but it would have to be filmed outside of the US for legal reasons |
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
No i think UVA would compete with Duke for the collar popping... UVA outdoes duke though with the dressing up for football games
I would disagree because there are def distinct crowds in UVa. Compared to Duke, UVa has alot more minorities and alot less rich people at the school. For example, first year dorms, old dorms, were generally white, rich, popped collars. New dorms, were more minorities, whites, lower income, everyone else. The old dorms crowd usally hangs together, while other people chill in their own groups. It really depends who u see, know, and where you hangout on campus. In regards to the football games, its less collar popping and more dressing up. Girls: sundress, guys: slacks shirt tie. I am sure you all have heard, it is traditional to dress up for the football games. Back in the day it was a social event and the guys would bring dates to football games. UVa isnt the only school that dresses up, I want to say Alabama but I could be wrong, but other southern schools do as well. First couple times I went to games I was def like wtf is this, but I have gotten over it. Coach Al Groh has started this "orange fever" thing with t-shirts and stuff, to make the crowd more intimidating, so now less people dress up. Regardless, I actually think that people dressing up thing is somewhat refreshing, because its different and traditional. Now people dress up to games, and get hammered, so that is the real fun. I honestly could care less if the person next to me is dressed up, as long as she/he is a UVa fan and we are both hammered I am happy. I think alot of times people go to the games and are shocked because they have never seen anything like that, or they know the local preppie guy who went to UVa and is a total douche, but there are def alot of people that are diff. Like 90% of my dorm would not fall into that popped collar group, just an example. |

I almost knocked him out right then and there. |
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
my grandmother had some until a few years ago, she threw them out before I had a chance to claim them. I'm still bitter to this day.

It was great. Thinking back on it, all of the adults were drunk too. |
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
Dressing up for football games is a southern football tradition, regardless of how big the school is. I went to Wake Forest, and we did shirt and tie for every game, made us look better when we got tossed out of games for being too drunk.
|
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
I have to disagree with southern tradition and just say yuppy tradition from way back when... cuz i know georgia doesnt dress, south carolina doesnt, and i know alabama doesnt, those are three pretty football tradition rich teams

If King Kong strapped on a helmet, he still couldn't have lived up to the hype that surrounded Demarcus Ware last season. But Ware was very good, bringing pressure off the edge and forcing a lot of running plays inside." This always makes me happy. I wonder why Ware got so much hype last year? |
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
TMC, what is that from?
By the way, it's Auburn that's well known for dressing up for games. And drinking tons of bourbon. Ummmm, bourbon... |
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
It's from MSNs review of LB-ing corps.

I heard he isn't in exactly what you'd call "game shape".

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
Godzilla, possibly Mecha-Godzilla could play for us.
I heard Mothra is an excellent WR talent. She could be our possession receiver AND set some gender milestones at the same time. |

He loves doing tricks on his bike. Did you see the trick Mike Mason did? Literally flying over his bike, and at the last second he pulls it toward him and jumps on for the landing. |

Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
What, is there a Mile High Club scene before the snakes attack?
|
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
Yes, most definitely.
|
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
Actually, I bet there will be.
A stewardess and a first class passenger take a little trip to the lavatory. About 8 seconds after her polyester shirt is torn open a huge pit-viper pops out of the toilet, all covered in that blue water, and bites the dude in the back of the neck. And so it begins... |
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
I SWEAR that in the previews, it looks like two chicks lesbianing it out in the bathroom.
|
Re: Super Happy Fun Thread!
IF you're right, this could end up being a great movie!
Did you ever see Femme Fatale with Rebecca Romjain Stamos (sp?)? I've only seen the first 15 minutes or so on TV, but she has a fantastic scene with some model in a bathroom. |
