I think I’ll just read your posts for the next couple days. Nearly everyone else is irrational. Emotionally on tilt. Save me from the crazies I can’t take it.
what are all the weapons?

they have a great slot wr (hill), a great te and a great rb (pass catching and running) . . . we have a damn good slot wr ourselves (crowder), a great te when healthy (caveat on when healthy) and thompson as our pass catching rb . . . just need a rb for running purposes, but we are not far off offensive talent wise from kansas city . . . and i still think docston will be a damn good wr too . . . KC was afraid to throw to him even when he was WIDE open
The best friend of any QB is a strong running game and a great pass catching clutch TE. Chiefs are set up talent wise to succeed. Their QB does not have to carry them.

Nobody’s seemingly willing to accept the reality.

Kirk. Cousins. Did. Not. Want. To. Be. A. Redskin.

He wants to play with a winning tradition. We haven’t had that since the early 90s. He was gone from Washington the moment the clock hit 0:00 against the Giants.

Gotta deal with it and move on, gentlemen.

Last thing I’m going to say Smith couldn’t do it in SF or KC (I like Alex and saw plenty of him in SF) Cousins is the better QB, I understand we needed a replacement, management got fleeced and way overpaid for him, especially at
Young age of 33. We better draft a young QB to groom, we are going to need it. I’m out.

Smith made the pro bowl, Cousins didn’t. Smith had 5 INTs and 4 fumbles, Cousins had 13 INTs and 13 fumbles. Smith is a big running threat, Cousins is a little one. Smith’s red zone performance is better. Reid and Gruden’s systems are nearly identical.

But yeah sure Cousins is better.

Denial is a pretty powerful thing apparently.

While I was holding out hope something would work out with Cousins I knew that chances of that actually happening was very slim.

What surprises me is that people seem surprised the Cousins/Redskins relationship has come to an end. The writing has been on the wall especially after the 2nd tag.

When it comes to crunch time, statistics would say that is a lie. Exhibit A, comparative data from the last three seasons. Smith is better in EVERY category except one. Not by a ton, but better nonetheless.

Matty, I know I'm complaining over spilled milk right now, but this deal allows our current power structure to remain in place despite the fact they are the only franchise in modern day history to screw up having a good qb.

So to me, this deal screams we just paid Kirk big money for 2 years, only to get rid of him and Kendall Fuller for an older, not-as-good but same neighborhood qb who we still have to pay regardless. Time will tell the tale, but it reeks of incompetency for me. What more do we have to see to know that Bruce Allen does not deserve to run this front office? Do we have to wait until we slide from mediocre to downright uncompetitive?
I find this very irritating. Why franchise him two years in a row if this was the end game? I don't buy the lip service we have been told. This is merely a cya by the FO. It is like being happy that 5 years later BP cleaned up the Gulf oil spill and some how will be better off for it down the road and ignoring the whole mess to begin with.

No way Reid would have traded him to Denver, unlike the McNabb situation he knows Smith can play.
