I know I won't be agreed with but here goes.It was a good and" typical" NFCE game ,records don't matter in these games ...they never have.Skins have a lot to be happy with and to a man on the Giants ,from Coughlin on down all were singing RGIII's praise.Giants lost to the eagles by 2 pts,Cowboys by 7 and just beat you guys by 4,if not for those 9pts we would be undeafeted now,yet it's the NFCE and as always the games are good and close, records be damn.
"Bobs" going to have a long career, every game has wouldas ,couldas and such. The two teams were sizing each other up in the first half and both made adjustments in the second,in the end it was turnovers that decided this game that and Eli ...being Eli,nothing else.
I know that it is weak to blame the officials but I'm going to make an exception this time. IMO, poor officiating cost us this game because we should have been ahead by more than a TD going into the 4th Qtr. If we had been ahead at that time, I think RGIII and Morris would have kept us there.

The procedure call on Fred Davis in the 2nd Qtr was as nit-picking as it gets and it cost us a TD. Then, the phantom leg-whipping call on Tyler Palumbus cost us a 1st Down at the Giants 12-yard line. The supposed foul by Palumbus was far away from the play and he never even touched the defensive player. That's between 7-14 points taken away by poor officiating.

Meanwhile, the Giants' RT had a choke hold on Kerrigan on pass plays all game long but that was never called.

The outrageous call on Palumbus was the turning point of the game. I thought that Mike Shanahan should have given the officials an earful after the TD was called back just to give them something to think about for the rest of the game. If he had, perhaps the phantom foul on Palumbus wouldn't have been called.
You simply can't make that leg whip call. Polumbus fell down and did not intentionally try and leg whip anyone and no one even got tripped up. Just an atrocious call that ruined our drive. The other one against Davis was just as bad. Those two calls played an outcome of the game and that should never ever happen. Whoever made those calls should be sat down next week.

The turnovers played a part, no question. But those two pitiful calls that went against us that took points off the board IMO was the difference, not the turnovers.

Yet you were still ahead even after the calls ,sorry turnovers kill teams.

Eli being Eli was my biggest concern coming into the game and having all of those miscues earlier in the game (turnovers, missed opportunities in the red zone and not being able to capitalize off both turnovers) didn't help in that aspect.

I do agree with you that turnovers decided the game. People can fixate on the blown coverage at the end, but if those turnovers don't happen earlier on, we have a different ball game.

true but we should've been ahead by more. that illegal shift call took 7 points off the board. even aikman commented that the call sucked. and don't get me started on that leg whip. just pathetic.

Aikman did say it was a bad call and then later went back to it and did say it was the right call as for the leg whip 10-1 all the ref saw was the guys leg in the air and made the call, like I said shoudas, wouldas, couldas, all games have them.It was still a great well played game by the Skins.

Hate the fact we lost but I'm very encouraged with what I'm seeing on the field. I told my buddy that I hope we don't go into prevent D and the minute we didn't we got burned. I also like the fact that we kicked the FG in the forth whith Sanny making the statement that we could make a stop and a score. We did but so did the Giants. :(

Five turnovers tho man. Five. There are always going to be bad calls in a game. They are gonna be for us or against us. That is out of our control and part of the game. Those turnovers were just a complete lack of focus on our part - again this wasnt Osi coming from behind Rex and swatting the ball out of his hands. This was our guys not protecting the ball.
Edit: four turnovers.

And that INT thrown by RG3 that was very dumbfounding to be honest. BTW, we only had four TO's (Morris' fumble, RG3's INT, RG3's sack/fumble, and Moss' fumble).

FYI.... QB's throw Int's. Eli threw two of them. Even with his Int and fumble, the plays he made throughout the game MORE THAN made up for it. Also..we still have to remember that we're playing a rookie QB and RB. RG3 is 7 starts into his NFL career and is already the best player on our team.

Seems like RG3 expected Paulsen to keep running on the INT, still probably not the best decision but he more than made up for it the rest of the day.

More than made up for it is rite. It looked like he hesitated -like he was gonna bring the ball back down and than re-committed to the throw. He knew rite away it was his fault. Even his int's have poise written all over them. Lol.

Our red zone offense has been incredible, win or lose, going into yesterday's game. Yesterday we didn't execute in the red zone like we had in previous weeks. That's always gonna hurt
